Day 1 - Berlin
On arrival in Berlin, we’ll transfer you to your hotel where you’ll have some free time to settle in. In the afternoon, you can find all the essential information about the start of your tour on the notice boards at the hotel reception. This allows you to familiarise yourself with the schedule and prepare for the days ahead at your own pace.
Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour.
Day 2 - Berlin
We begin the day with a guided tour of Berlin, Germany’s vibrant capital. From the coach, we take in key sights including Museum Island, the Television Tower, the bustling city centre’s main shopping streets, the ruins of the old cathedral damaged during World War II, the iconic Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag parliament building, and the city’s extensive parks. We pause for visits to the Holocaust Memorial and the Berlin Wall Memorial Museum—two poignant sites that reflect Germany’s complex 20th-century history. The afternoon is yours to explore the city independently. In the early evening, we transfer you to the lively Kantstrasse district to enjoy its diverse dining and entertainment options.
Day 3 - Berlin - Dresden - Prague
We’ll travel through forested landscapes to Dresden, a city celebrated for its outstanding architectural and artistic heritage, making it one of Germany’s premier destinations. You’ll have time to explore some of its remarkable palaces and enjoy lunch at one of the many local restaurants or cafés. Later, we’ll continue our journey to the Czech Republic, arriving in Prague. Our first stop is the bustling Old Town Square, lively and full of atmosphere—perfect for your initial experience of the city. You can choose to dine at one of the numerous restaurants offering a variety of international cuisines before we return to the hotel.
Day 4 - Prague
Today, we explore Prague, often called the Baroque jewel of Europe. A local guide will take us on a panoramic tour, showcasing the city’s most remarkable monuments. We’ll visit Prague Castle, with admission included, offering insight into its historical significance. Afterwards, enjoy a relaxing boat ride on the Vltava River, also included. The afternoon is yours to explore the city at your leisure.
Day 5 - Prague - Munich - Innsbruck
We’ll set off early and cross into Bavaria, Germany. Arriving in Munich by midday, you’ll have free time to explore the historic city centre and enjoy lunch at your leisure. In the afternoon, we continue into Austria and reach Innsbruck, nestled in the heart of the Alps. You’ll have time to wander around the Old Town and the area surrounding the Golden Roof. Dinner can be enjoyed in this atmospheric setting before we settle in for the night.
Day 6 - Innsbruck - Salzburg
We begin the day by visiting the Swarovski Museum, home to the world-renowned crystal brand. We’ll explore the stunning gardens and gain insight into the craftsmanship behind these exquisite crystal creations. Afterwards, you’ll have free time to wander through the historic centre of Innsbruck at your leisure. Our journey continues along scenic mountain roads to Kitzbühel, a famous Tyrolean town known for its ski resort and the prestigious Hahnenkamm Race, one of the world’s most thrilling alpine skiing events. We will then proceed to Salzburg, where we arrive later in the day.
Day 7 - Salzburg - Lake Traunsee - Vienna
Today, we’ll begin by exploring Salzburg, famously known as Mozart’s city. You’ll discover the charm of its Renaissance and Baroque architecture, dominated by the impressive fortress overlooking the old town. From there, we’ll travel through a picturesque landscape of lakes and mountains to reach St Wolfgang, a well-known pilgrimage destination. Next, we continue to Traunkirchen, situated on the shores of Lake Traunsee, where we’ll take a leisurely cruise included in the itinerary. During the cruise, you’ll see four historic castles before disembarking in Gmunden. After this scenic experience, we’ll journey on to Vienna, arriving in the evening to prepare for the next stage of your trip.
Day 8 - Vienna
Today, we embark on a panoramic tour of Vienna with a local guide. We’ll discover the city’s grand avenues, stunning palaces, expansive parks and lively city centre. In the afternoon, you’ll have free time to explore at your leisure. In the evening, we’ll provide a transfer to the Grinzing district, a historic wine-growing area now part of the city, famous for its traditional taverns. You can enjoy dinner here independently before returning to the hotel.
Day 9 - Vienna - Budapest
We’ll travel from Vienna to Budapest, a journey of around three hours. On arrival, you’ll have free time to enjoy lunch in the bustling Váci utca, a popular pedestrian street full of shops and cafés. Afterwards, we’ll take an included boat trip along the Danube River, offering striking views of historic Buda on one bank and vibrant Pest on the other. Following the cruise, we’ll begin a panoramic tour of Budapest, often called the “Queen of the Danube,” highlighting its key landmarks. You’ll then have some free time to explore the city at your leisure. In the evening, there is an optional excursion to a traditional Magyar show, including dinner.
Day 10 - Budapest
After breakfast, the tour concludes, leaving you with lasting memories of your journey.
