Day 1 - Berlin
Welcome to your tour of Europe! Upon your arrival in Berlin, we will arrange your transfer to the hotel, where you can relax and enjoy some leisure time. In the afternoon, please check the boards at the hotel reception for important details about the start of your tour. This will ensure you're well-prepared for the exciting journey ahead. Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour. Please also be aware that depending on group composition, guiding may be in additional languages as well as English.
Day 2 - Berlin
Today, delve into the vibrant culture of Berlin with our guided panoramic tour of Germany's captivating capital. We will explore the historic city centre and discover renowned landmarks such as Museum Island, the Reichstag, and the iconic Brandenburg Gate. Stroll through bustling shopping streets and admire the city's picturesque parks. During our journey, we'll pause at the poignant Holocaust Memorial and the Berlin Wall Memorial Museum, reflecting on the country's complex history. In the afternoon, you may choose to venture on an optional excursion to Potsdam to marvel at its magnificent palaces.
Day 3 - Berlin - Dresden - Prague
Our day begins with a journey through lush forests en route to the charming city of Dresden, renowned for its remarkable architectural and artistic treasures. Here, you'll have the opportunity to explore some of the city's impressive palaces and savour lunch at one of its welcoming restaurants or cosy coffee shops. In the afternoon, we head towards the Czech Republic, arriving in the vibrant capital city of Prague. Your first encounter with Prague will be in the lively Old Town Square, teeming with energy and bustling with activities. You'll find yourself surrounded by a variety of dining options, from Czech to Chinese, Indian, and Italian cuisines. After a delightful dinner, we'll make our way back to the hotel.
Day 4 - Prague
Today, we explore Prague, a city celebrated as the Baroque jewel of Europe. Our day begins with a guided tour led by a knowledgeable local guide, showcasing some of the city's most remarkable monuments. We’ll also visit Prague Castle, a historic masterpiece where entrance is included. Following our castle visit, we embark on a scenic boat ride along the Vltava River, also included. The afternoon is yours to discover Prague at your own pace, with time to wander the charming streets, perhaps discovering hidden gems in this enchanting city.
Day 5 - Prague - Munich - Innsbruck
Our day begins with an early departure as we make our way to Bavaria, Germany. By midday, we'll have arrived in Munich, where you'll have some free time to wander through the city's historic centre and savour lunch at your leisure. In the afternoon, our journey continues with a scenic drive to Austria. Upon reaching Innsbruck, nestled in the heart of the Alps, you'll have the opportunity to explore this captivating Tyrolean capital. As the day draws to a close, enjoy dinner in the charming Golden Roof area and the bustling Old Town.
Day 6 - Innsbruck - Zurich
Begin your day with a visit to the renowned Swarovski Museum, the home of exquisite crystals. We will tour its impressive gardens and learn about the fascinating process behind creating the stunning Swarovski pieces. Later, you'll have free time to explore the area at your leisure. We will then set off for Zurich, enjoying the picturesque Tyrolean scenery en route. Once we arrive in Zurich, spend your evening by the historic city centre's lakeside, where you can choose from a wide selection of restaurants offering Indian, Oriental, Italian, International, and Swiss cuisines.
Day 7 - Zurich - Lucerne - Zurich
Today, we will embark on a journey that showcases Switzerland’s breathtaking natural beauty, as we travel through magnificent landscapes featuring towering mountains and serene lakes within the Interlaken region. Our day begins with a stop in Grindelwald, where you can enjoy a coffee break before we take an exciting cable car ride up the mountain. Once at the summit, we’ll stroll along a scenic path leading to a suspended bridge. For those with a sense of adventure, crossing this bridge rewards you with stunning views of the surrounding glaciers. We’ll pause for an included lunch amidst these splendid mountain vistas.Following our mountain adventure, we head to Lucerne, a city renowned for its enchanting beauty. Here, you will have free time to explore the picturesque cityscape and its historic charm. Later, we return to Zurich, where you can relax and reflect on the day’s experiences.Please note that our guide may suggest an optional full-day excursion, which begins in the morning. After some leisure time in Lucerne, those opting for this excursion can take a rotating cable car up to Mount Titlis. At an altitude of over 3,000 metres, this alpine summit offers panoramic views of the glacier and the majestic Alps.
Day 8 - Zurich - Bellinzona - Como - Milan
We depart from Zurich in the early morning, travelling through the scenic Alps to the Italian-speaking region of Switzerland. Our first destination is Bellinzona, famous for its trio of medieval castles, proudly listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. These castles, strategically perched above the city, stand as a testament to Bellinzona’s historical significance as a critical alpine stronghold. You’ll have some leisure time to wander the charming streets of the city centre. Next, we cross into Italy, arriving in the picturesque town of Como for lunch. Known as the jewel of Lombardy, Como boasts exquisite lakeside gardens and a breathtaking cathedral. We continue onward to Milan, where our guide will lead us to the magnificent Piazza del Duomo. Here, you'll have time to explore the surroundings before we transfer you to the hotel.
Day 9 - Milan - Pisa - Rome
Today, our adventure takes us to Pisa. We will travel by a quaint tourist train to the Piazza dei Miracoli, known as the Square of Miracles, where you will have the opportunity to marvel at one of Italy's most iconic artistic sites, including the renowned Leaning Tower of Pisa. After exploring the captivating architectural wonders, we’ll continue our journey to Rome, arriving later in the day.
Day 10 - Rome
This morning in Rome, we'll embark on an enriching three-hour guided tour, exploring the wonders of the Eternal City. Our journey combines a walking tour through the historic heart of Imperial Rome with a panoramic bus ride, revealing the city's profound significance in Western civilisation. We'll visit iconic sites such as the Arch of Constantine, the outside of the Colosseum, the Imperial Forums, Circus Maximus, the Baths of Caracalla, the Basilica of Saint Mary Major, the Pyramid of Cestius, and Castel Sant'Angelo. Our tour concludes at Vatican City around 11:00 a.m., where you'll have the opportunity to join an optional guided excursion to the renowned Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel. Later, we'll make our way to the vibrant Trastevere district, celebrated for its welcoming restaurants and lively charm. We'll return to the hotel around 8:30 p.m.
Day 11 - Rome
After breakfast, it's time to conclude our journey in Rome. As you reflect on the marvellous experiences and rich memories gathered during the tour, we hope you've discovered new wonders and cherished every moment.
