Day 1 - Athens
Upon arrival at Athens airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel for check-in. The afternoon is yours to explore Greece’s vibrant capital at your own pace. You might choose to visit Syntagma Square to soak up the city’s atmosphere, browse the popular shopping districts of Kolonaki or Ermou, or enjoy a leisurely stroll through Plaka, the historic neighbourhood known for its charming alleys and numerous shops offering local souvenirs and crafts. Overnight stay in Athens.
Day 2 - Athens
After breakfast at your hotel, enjoy a leisurely morning at your own pace. In the afternoon, we drive along the scenic coastal road, passing the beautiful beaches of Glyfada, Vouliagmeni and Varkiza, before reaching Cape Sounion – the southernmost point of Attica. Here, the striking white marble columns of the Temple of Poseidon stand against the backdrop of the Saronic Gulf and nearby islands. You will have time to explore the temple and stroll freely along the rocky promontory, taking in the stunning views. We then return to Athens for your overnight stay.
Day 3 - Athens - Delphi - Kalabaka - Kalabaka
After breakfast, we travel to Delphi, passing through Thebes, Levadia and the charming village of Arachova, nestled on the slopes of Mount Parnassus. Upon arrival, we explore the remarkable archaeological site of Delphi, known for its ancient ruins and historical significance. Please note that entrance to the Delphi Museum is not included. Afterwards, we continue to Kalambaka, journeying through scenic villages and towns of Central Greece. The day concludes with a pleasant dinner and overnight stay in Kalambaka.
Day 4 - Kalabaka - Athens
After breakfast, we travel to Meteora, one of Greece’s most remarkable landmarks. Here, you will take in the stunning landscape and explore the ancient monasteries perched atop towering rock formations, home to invaluable historical and religious treasures. On the return journey to Athens, we pass through Trikala, Lamia and Thermopylae, making a brief stop to view the nearby Leonidas Monument. We arrive back in Athens early evening for your overnight stay.
Day 5 - Athens
Begin your day with a hearty breakfast at the hotel before setting out on a captivating city tour of Athens. Our expert guide will lead you to the Panathenaic Stadium, the site of the first modern Olympic Games in 1896. Pause briefly before continuing past the Prime Minister’s residence—the former Royal Palace—guarded by the iconic Euzones in their traditional uniforms. You will also see key landmarks including the Temple of Olympian Zeus, Hadrian’s Arch, the Parliament building, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the Academy, University, National Library, and Constitution Square (Syntagma). Next, explore the Acropolis, home to architectural masterpieces from Athens’ Golden Age: the Propylaea, Temple of Athena Nike, Erechtheion, and the Parthenon, a symbol of classical harmony and order. Conclude the tour with a visit to the New Acropolis Museum to admire artefacts from this remarkable era. Afterwards, return to your hotel to collect your luggage before transferring to the airport for your departure flight. Breakfast is included.
