Set off from Bhubaneswar on a three day adventure to Similipal Tiger Reserve, returning to Bhubaneswar at the end. On the way, you’ll visit Odisha’s famed Buddhist triangle – Ratnagiri, Udayagiri and Lalitgiri – where ancient stupas and monasteries add a serene, cultural start. In Similipal, expect jeep safaris through sal forests, views of Khairiburu and Maghasini peaks and the rugged Ganapati cliffs, plus thrilling chances to spot tigers – including rare melanistic cats – along with leopards, elephants, sloth bears and gaurs. Bird lovers can scan for hundreds of species. Evenings wind down in cosy jungle cottages or tents, wrapped in wilderness calm.

Day 1 - Odisha's Buddhist Triangle
We depart Bhubaneswar and drive 250 kilometres – around five hours – to Similipal Tiger Reserve. En route, you can visit the Buddhist sites of Ratnagiri, Udaigiri and Lalitgiri, known for ancient monasteries and intricately carved stupas that reflect the region’s Buddhist heritage.
On arrival, we settle you into your jungle cottage or tent and round off the day with dinner. Overnight at jungle cottage or tent.
Day 2 - Similipal National Park Tiger Safari
We rise early for a jeep safari through Similipal Tiger Reserve, taking in views of the Khairiburu and Maghasini peaks and the rugged Ganapati cliffs. The reserve’s rich biodiversity offers chances to spot tigers, leopards, elephants, sloth bears and gaur – including Similipal’s distinctive melanistic tigers. Birdwatchers can look out for some of the park’s 361 recorded species. After the safari, you can unwind at your jungle cottage or tent and soak up the tranquillity of the forest – overnight at Jungle Cottage/Tent.
Day 3 - Bhubaneswar
After breakfast we depart Similipal Tiger Reserve and drive to Bhubaneswar – 200 km, approx. 4 hours. On arrival we transfer you to your hotel or to the airport for your onward journey, concluding your Similipal adventure.
