Day 1 - Chennai
On arrival in Chennai, our representative will meet you at the airport and we’ll arrange a seamless transfer to your hotel. Standard check-in is from 2.00 pm – take time to settle in and unwind after your journey. The remainder of the day is at leisure – you could sample local cuisine or take a relaxed stroll through the bustling streets to get a feel for the city. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2 - Chennai
After breakfast, we set out to explore Chennai’s history and architecture. We begin at Fort St George and its museum, then visit the Kapaleeswarar Temple – a striking example of Dravidian architecture dedicated to Lord Shiva. We continue with a drive past the Madras High Court and the Ripon Building to appreciate their colonial‑era facades. We delve into the collections of the Government Museum, where sculptures, coins and other artefacts trace the region’s cultural heritage. We then visit Santhome Cathedral Basilica, associated with St Thomas the Apostle, before exploring the lively streets of Mylapore. We end the day in T. Nagar, where we browse shops for traditional textiles, jewellery and handicrafts. Overnight at hotel.
Day 3 - Chennai
Bid farewell to Chennai as we assist with your transfer to the airport for your onward journey. Hotel check-out is at 11:00 AM – please ensure all arrangements are completed before departing. Reflect on the experiences shared and the city’s rich heritage and cultural diversity as you leave.
