Day 1 - Koppal - Hubli - Gadag - Lakkundi - Hampi
We meet you on arrival at Hubli Airport and begin the drive to Hampi – 180 km, around 4 hours on the road, travelling via Gadag and Lakkundi. En route we explore the Trikuteshwara Temple in Gadag, a fine example of Chalukyan architecture with ornate pillars and detailed stonework, and stop at Lakkundi to see its ancient temples known for intricate mythological carvings. On arrival in Hampi we arrange your hotel check in – you’ll have time to unwind and get ready for the days ahead in this UNESCO World Heritage site. Overnight at hotel.
Day 2 - Hampi
After breakfast we set out on a guided tour of Hampi. We begin at Virupaksha Temple – dedicated to Lord Shiva and crowned by an impressive gopuram – before continuing to the 16th‑century Vittala Temple Complex, famed for its stone chariot and musical pillars, a landmark of Dravidian architecture on the southern bank of the Tungabhadra River. We then explore the Zenana Enclosure, once reserved for the royal women of the Vijayanagara Empire, to admire the graceful Lotus Mahal with its Indo‑Islamic design, and the nearby Elephant Stables, noted for their elegant arches and blended architectural styles.You have free time to relax back at the hotel. If you wish, you can browse Hampi Bazaar’s shops for handicrafts and textiles, or climb Matanga Hill for wide views over the boulder‑strewn landscape – sunset is especially rewarding. The evening is at leisure to absorb Hampi’s atmosphere. Overnight in Hampi.
Day 3 - Hampi - Badami - Anegundi
Hampi – Badami (140 km – approx. 3 hours) We start with a relaxed morning in Hampi, a UNESCO World Heritage site, then cross to Anegundi on the northern bank of the Tungabhadra River. We explore its narrow lanes and traditional homes before taking a gentle coracle ride on the river for broad views of the boulder-strewn landscape. Late morning, we drive to Badami, watching the scenery shift from rocky terrain to greener countryside. On arrival, we check in at the hotel. You have the afternoon at leisure to unwind and enjoy lunch, settling into the calm pace of this historic town. Overnight at hotel.
Day 4 - Badami - Pattadakkal - Aihole
Badami We begin with the rock‑cut cave temples of Badami, hewn into the sandstone cliffs above Agastya Lake. We explore all four caves – dedicated to Hindu and Jain deities – noting the finely carved panels and sculptural detail. We then drive about 22 kilometres to Pattadakal, a UNESCO World Heritage site celebrated for its harmonious blend of Dravidian and Nagara temple architecture. After a short break, we conclude the day at Aihole, often called the cradle of Indian temple architecture and home to more than 100 early medieval shrines. Here we visit the Meguti Jain Temple – dated to 634 AD, set on a small hill and built without mortar on a raised platform with steps leading to a large pillared mandapa – and the 6th‑century Ravanapadi Cave Temple, dedicated to Shiva and recessed on a deep ledge with freestanding shrines flanking an entrance that opens to the southwest. Return to Badami in the evening – you’ll have free time to unwind at the hotel. Overnight in Badami.
Day 5 - Badami
We leave Badami for Anshi National Park – now part of Kali Tiger Reserve – a scenic 225 km drive taking around 5 hours. On arrival, we check in at a resort set amid lush forest, then head out on a jeep safari with the chance to spot wildlife including black panthers, tigers and elephants. You can spend the evening at the resort, unwinding to the sounds of the Western Ghats and sampling local cuisine. Overnight at the resort.
Day 6 - Goa
We set out this morning on a final safari in Anshi National Park (Kali Tiger Reserve), making the most of our last wildlife-spotting opportunity. If you’re after extra adventure, you can opt for white water rafting on the Kali River, tackling lively rapids with an expert team.Later, we travel by road to Goa – around 140 km and approximately 3 hours – and check in on arrival. You can unwind by the sea or take a relaxed stroll along the beach. Overnight at hotel.
Day 7 - Goa - Old Goa - Panjim
This morning, we explore the UNESCO-listed monuments of Old Goa, beginning at the Basilica of Bom Jesus – home to the remains of St Francis Xavier – before continuing to the majestic Se Cathedral, one of Asia’s largest churches. We also visit the Church of St Francis of Assisi and the Church of St Cajetan to appreciate Goa’s colonial-era religious heritage. Afterwards, we head to Aguada Fort, perched above the Arabian Sea, for panoramic coastal views.In the afternoon, we move on to Panjim Market, where you can browse spices, handicrafts and souvenirs. We then wander through Fontainhas, the Latin Quarter, to admire its distinctive architecture and vibrant street art, before a leisurely coastal drive past Calangute, Dona Paula, Miramar and Baga. We pause for sunset over the Arabian Sea – a fitting close to the day. Overnight at resort.
Day 8 - Goa - Anjuna - Mapusa
Goa – Enjoy a day at leisure with no scheduled activities. You can relax on the beach, try water sports, or explore the vibrant Anjuna and Mapusa markets for souvenirs, handicrafts and colourful clothing. Overnight at hotel.
Day 9 - Goa - Karnataka
After breakfast, we bring your stay in Goa to a close. Depending on your flight time, you can use any free hours to relax on the beach or make a last quick visit to nearby sights or shops.We’ll coordinate your pick-up and escort you to the airport for your onward journey – a smooth farewell to Karnataka’s heritage and Goa’s coastline.
