You’ll explore coastal Mangalore’s temples and colonial chapels, then head to Hassan for the Hoysala showpieces of Belur and Halebidu. In Mysore you’ll visit the glittering palace, Chamundi Hill and evening gardens, before Bengaluru delivers leafy parks and regal palaces. Expect to see Chitradurga Fort en route to Hampi’s boulder fields, stone chariot and evocative bazaars. Wind down in Gokarna with golden beaches and the Mahabaleshwar Temple, plus time to simply relax. Finish via the Udupi Sri Krishna Temple – a fitting farewell.

Itinerary
Day 1 - Exploring Mangalore
On arrival at Mangalore airport, we greet you with a traditional welcome and transfer you to your hotel to check in and refresh.
Once settled, we begin a guided city tour – starting at Mangaladevi Temple and Kadri Manjunath Temple, tranquil spaces that reflect the city’s spiritual heritage. We then visit St. Aloysius Chapel to admire its European inspired frescoes and detailed artistry, and conclude at Sultan Battery, an ancient defence fortification that underlines Mangalore’s historical significance. Overnight at hotel.
Day 2 - Mangalore to Hassan & Belur & Halebidu
Mangalore to Hassan – 180 km through coconut groves and paddy fields gives you a glimpse of rural Karnataka. On arrival in Hassan, check in at the hotel, then we set out to explore Belur and Halebidu. At Belur’s Chennakesava Temple we admire superb Hoysala craftsmanship, while Halebidu’s Hoysaleswara Temple showcases intricate carvings and inscriptions that reflect the region’s history. We also visit the nearby Jain bastis for their serene atmosphere and refined artistry. Overnight at hotel in Hassan.
Day 3 - Hassan to Mysore
Hassan to Mysore – a road journey of about 140 km. On arrival, we begin a city tour, starting at the grand Mysore Palace, a fine example of Indo–Saracenic design with intricate craftsmanship. We continue up Chamundi Hill for wide views of the city and the impressive Nandi statue, then visit St Philomena’s Cathedral, noted for its neo Gothic architecture. We round off at Brindavan Gardens, known for its musical fountains and manicured lawns. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 4 - Mysore to Bangalore
Mysore to Bangalore – 150 km. We travel to Bangalore, India’s Silicon Valley, where heritage sits alongside a modern skyline. After checking in, we explore Lalbagh Botanical Garden and its extensive plant collections, then visit Bangalore Palace – reminiscent of Windsor Castle – for a glimpse of the city’s royal past. We continue to Tipu Sultan’s Summer Palace, noted for its Indo‑Islamic design, before a relaxed walk through Cubbon Park. We round off the day viewing Vidhana Soudha, Karnataka’s legislative building known for its Dravidian style. Overnight at hotel.
Day 5 - Bangalore to Hampi
We travel 330 km from Bangalore to Hampi – a UNESCO World Heritage site set amid striking boulder-strewn landscapes. En route we visit Chitradurga Fort, renowned for its seven concentric walls, fortified gateways and intricate carvings. On arrival in Hampi we check in at the hotel, and you can take time to unwind and soak up the surroundings. Overnight at hotel.
Day 6 - Exploring Hampi
We devote the day to Hampi’s UNESCO–listed monuments. We begin at Virupaksha Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva and a striking testament to the Vijayanagara Empire. We continue to the Vittala Temple, noted for its finely carved, resonant pillars and sculptures, and pause at the celebrated stone chariot. In the Royal Enclosure, we explore the remains of the former royal precincts before visiting the elegant Lotus Mahal, once used by the royal women. We also stop at the Hazara Rama Temple, where detailed panels depict scenes from the Ramayana, and round off the day with a walk along Hampi Bazaar. Overnight at hotel.
Day 7 - Lakkundi, Gadag & Gokarna
Hampi to Gokarna (310kms). We leave Hampi for Gokarna, a serene coastal town where spiritual heritage meets natural beauty. En route we visit Lakkundi to see its intricate temple carvings and ancient stepwells, then continue to Gadag for fine examples of Chalukyan architecture. On arrival in Gokarna we check in to the hotel – you have the evening at leisure.
Day 8 - Exploring Gokarna
Begin with a visit to Mahabaleshwar Temple – a revered Shiva shrine. Afterwards, we head to the coast to explore Gokarna’s beaches. Om Beach – shaped like the ‘Om’ symbol – offers panoramic views, and you can choose to try water activities such as snorkelling. We then continue to Half Moon Beach and Paradise Beach, where you can unwind on the sand, swim, or simply enjoy the calm setting at your own pace. Overnight at hotel.
Day 9 - Gokarna at Leisure
We leave today at leisure for you to enjoy Gokarna at your own pace. You can seek out hidden coves, serene viewpoints and secluded beaches, browse the local markets, sample coastal cuisine, or join a yoga or meditation session. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 10 - Return to Mangalore
We drive 230 kms from Gokarna to Mangalore, pausing at the Udupi Sri Krishna Temple – a renowned pilgrimage site – where we pay our respects to Lord Krishna and savour the prasadam. On arrival in Mangalore, we transfer you to the airport for your departure flight, bringing your journey through Karnataka’s cultural and heritage sites to an end.
