Itinerary
Day 1 - Denpasar - Ubud
On arrival around noon, meet your driver in the hotel lobby for a transfer to Ubud. After checking in to your hotel, join a Balinese batik class in the afternoon. You will learn about the distinctive features, motifs, techniques and history of Balinese batik, including how its patterns differ from other styles. This hands-on experience lasts approximately two hours. Following the class, you have the remainder of the afternoon at your leisure. Please note, to participate in this activity, we recommend arriving before midday or booking an additional night in Ubud. Overnight in Ubud.
Day 2 - Ubud
After a leisurely breakfast at your hotel, meet your driver in the lobby to begin a day immersed in Balinese art and culture. Your first stop is the ARMA Museum, where Agung Rai, the museum’s founder, will personally guide you through its remarkable collection. This tour offers a chance to experience the island’s awakening through its colours, sounds and serene atmosphere. Following lunch at a local restaurant, we continue to the stunning Tegalalang rice terraces, celebrated for their natural beauty and intricate design. From there, enjoy a scenic drive through Petulu to the heart of Ubud, where you visit the Ubud Palace. This historic residence of the Royal Family also serves as a venue for traditional Balinese dances in the evening, including the Legong and Barong performances. Adjacent to the palace is the bustling Ubud Art Market, where you can browse a wide range of local handicrafts and textiles. Before returning to your hotel, we pay a brief visit to the Monkey Forest, home to a lively population of long-tailed macaques. Overnight in Ubud.
Day 3 - Ubud
After breakfast, we visit a traditional Balinese village at the heart of the island, home to a temple with 12 sacred fountains. This temple is highly revered by locals and especially busy during the full moon. The 12 spouts are used by worshippers for purification. A temple guardian will accompany us, sharing insights about the unique features of the site before guiding you through a water blessing ritual, where you immerse your head and body in the sacred water. Following this, you will meet a Pemangku—a temple guardian, healer and fortune teller—who will demonstrate an ancient Balinese palm reading technique that reveals aspects of your character and destiny. In the afternoon, we return to your hotel, leaving the rest of the day free for you to relax at your leisure.
Day 4 - Ubud - Kecamatan Denpasar Utara
After breakfast at the hotel, meet your driver at the arranged time for your transfer to Denpasar International Airport to continue with your onward travel plans.
