This four-day tour starts in Rome and finishes back there after a scenic journey through southern Italy. You’ll kick off with a high-speed train ride to Naples, where you can savour authentic pizza and explore the city at your own pace. Next, visit the remarkable ruins of Pompeii before heading to charming Sorrento, known for its picturesque old town and lively marina. A highlight is a boat trip to the stunning island of Capri, including a chance to see the famous Blue Grotto. The tour wraps up with some leisure time in Sorrento before returning to Rome.

Itinerary
Day 1 - Rome - Naples
Meet your assistant at Rome’s Termini Station at approximately 8:00 a.m. (an optional private transfer from centrally located hotels in Rome can be arranged). We then take a high-speed train to Naples. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is free for you to explore Naples at your own pace and sample the city’s renowned local cuisine, including its famous pizza. Overnight stay in Naples.
Day 2 - Naples - Pompeii - Sorrento
After breakfast, check out of your hotel and be collected at around 10:00 a.m. for a guided tour of the archaeological site at Pompeii. This ancient Roman city was buried under volcanic ash following the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD, preserving its ruins remarkably well. After exploring Pompeii, we transfer to Sorrento, known for its charming old town and the traditional fishing village of Marina Grande, a genuine local highlight. Upon arrival, a local assistant will welcome you at your hotel to assist with check-in. You will stay overnight in Sorrento.
Day 3 - Sorrento - Capri - Sorrento
After breakfast, we depart at 7:30 a.m. from Sorrento’s port to meet your guide and board a traditional Gozzo Sorrentino boat for a scenic sail to Capri. Upon arrival, we take a boat tour around the island, with the option to visit the Blue Grotto—weather permitting and at your own expense. Once ashore, we continue by minibus to explore the island and reach the famous Piazzetta, the vibrant heart of Capri. You will then have some free time to wander and discover the island at your leisure before returning to the port to sail back to Sorrento. Overnight stay in Sorrento.
Day 4 - Sorrento - Naples - Rome
After breakfast, enjoy a leisurely morning in Sorrento to explore at your own pace. Around 3:30 pm, we transfer you to Naples where a local assistant will be on hand at the train station to help you board the high-speed train to Rome.
