Itinerary
Day 1 - Nairobi to the Masai Mara

Nairobi - Masai Mara. We collect you from your Nairobi hotel between 07:00 and 08:00, then drive this morning to the Masai Mara National Reserve – the Kenyan extension of the Serengeti ecosystem and one of the country’s most renowned wildlife areas, spanning around 700 square miles of acacia–dotted plains and hills.
In the afternoon, head out on a game drive, looking for lions, elephants, buffalo, zebra and other plains wildlife as the sun sets. Overnight at Jambo Mara Safari Lodge or similar.
Day 2 - Masai Mara Full-Day Game Drive

You spend a full day game viewing in the Masai Mara National Reserve, exploring a variety of habitats on extended drives to maximise wildlife sightings. Lions are common across the reserve, as are elephants, giraffes, zebra and several species of gazelle. Cheetah and leopard are frequently seen, while rhino are more elusive.
From July to September the annual wildebeest migration moves through the Mara – during this period both the herds and their predators gather in high numbers. Birdlife is diverse too, with several species of bee-eater among the highlights. All meals are included, and you overnight at Jambo Mara Safari Lodge or similar.
Day 3 - Masai Mara Full-Day Game Drive

Spend another full day exploring the Masai Mara on game drives, covering different areas in search of the reserve’s headline wildlife. Lions are abundant here, as are elephants, giraffes, zebras and several gazelle species. Cheetah and leopard are regularly seen, while rhino appear less frequently. If travelling between July–September, this is when the annual wildebeest migration moves through the Mara. Birdlife is excellent, with several species of colourful bee eaters found in the reserve. All meals included and overnight at Jambo Mara Safari Lodge or similar.
Day 4 - Women Empowerment Centre Visit & Return to Nairobi

Masai Mara - Nairobi. You check out and depart the Masai Mara, stopping at Sekenani Gate to visit a women’s empowerment centre focused on beadwork. Meet the artisans, try your hand at simple beadwork alongside them, and take a short stroll through the small museum to view some of the exquisite pieces on display – proceeds from the centre support local women and their families. You then continue the journey by road to Nairobi.
