Itinerary
Day 1 - Marrakech - Marrakech
Upon arrival at Marrakech Airport, you will be met outside the arrivals hall by our agent or driver, who will be holding a sign with your name. Please remain in the pick-up area until you have met them. They will provide your travel vouchers and transfer you to your chosen hotel in an air-conditioned vehicle. After check-in, the rest of the day is yours to relax or explore at your own pace. You might wander through the vibrant streets of Marrakech and admire key landmarks such as the impressive Koutoubia Mosque, the ornate Bahia Palace with its finely decorated Saadian Tombs, and the historic walled Medina with its labyrinth of alleys. In the evening, you can enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner show within the Medina. Overnight stay in Marrakech.
Day 2 - Marrakech
After breakfast, collect your rental car and enjoy some free time to explore at your own pace. Later, you will be collected from your hotel for a Moroccan cooking experience. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed with tea and a pastry before meeting your cook and discovering the menu for the session. Don your apron and learn how to prepare three types of salads, a traditional chicken couscous, and crepes for dessert, while gaining insight into Morocco’s most popular spices and their uses. After the workshop, savour a variety of local dishes for lunch and relax before returning to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at your leisure. We suggest visiting the Marrakech Gardens, the Gueliz district, the Hivernage neighbourhood, or taking a trip to the nearby Ourika Valley. Overnight in Marrakech.
Day 3 - Marrakech - Beni Mellal - Fes - Fes
After breakfast at your hotel in Marrakech, set off on a relaxed drive along the foothills of the Atlas Mountains towards Beni Mellal. En route, you may choose to stop for lunch in Khenifra. Beni Mellal, located at 625 metres in the Middle Atlas range, is a bustling agricultural centre. We will take a short tour of the city to see its key sights before continuing to Fez. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and enjoy dinner before settling in for the night.
Day 4 - Fes - Fes
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before joining a second cooking workshop at Dar Bensouda or a similar venue. Today, we will teach you how to prepare couscous like a traditional dada (‘cook’). At the end of the session, you will savour the dishes you have made. The remainder of the day is yours to spend at leisure. You might choose to visit the small town of Moulay Driss and the Mausoleum of Idris, the founder of Morocco. Alternatively, explore the village of Bhalil with its distinctive cave houses or the nearby ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis. Overnight in Fez.
Day 5 - Fes - Rabat
After breakfast, we set off for Rabat, the country’s administrative capital. Upon arrival, you have the afternoon at your leisure to explore the city at your own pace. In the evening, join us for a gastronomic dinner at Dar Rbatia or a similar venue. Housed in an 18th-century building within Rabat’s Medina, this restaurant was established in 1989 and showcases traditional Moroccan craftsmanship. Enjoy a rich and flavourful meal accompanied by mint tea in an authentic setting, surrounded by warm hospitality. Overnight in Rabat.
Day 6 - Rabat - Casablanca
After breakfast, set off by car for Casablanca, Morocco’s bustling commercial capital. Explore the city’s cosmopolitan charm, including the elegant boulevards of the French colonial Ville Nouvelle district. Visit the impressive Hassan II Mosque, which majestically overlooks the Atlantic Ocean—here, we view the exterior of this architectural landmark. Overnight in Casablanca.
Day 7 - Casablanca - Marrakech - Marrakech
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at your hotel before a free morning to relax or explore at your own pace. At midday, we take you to Dar Marjana for a gastronomic lunch. This charming restaurant, housed in an early 19th-century Andalusian family home in the heart of the medina, was transformed into a dining venue in 1980 and has since become a renowned spot in Marrakech. Its guestbook features signatures from notable visitors, which you are welcome to browse. After lunch, return to Marrakech and spend the afternoon wandering through the vibrant souks, admiring the skilled craftsmanship on display. As evening falls, make your way to Jemaa el-Fnaa Square, the lively centre of the city, where you can experience the bustling atmosphere filled with street performers, musicians, and colourful stalls. You will return your rental car at the hotel, with the drop-off time arranged in advance. Overnight in Marrakech.
