Day 2 - Amsterdam
Today we visit some quintessentially Dutch landscapes, beginning with Zaanse Schans, known for its traditional houses, canals and working windmills. Next, we travel to Volendam, a charming fishing village renowned for its picturesque harbour and distinctive architecture. From here, we take a short boat ride to Marken, formerly an island where houses were built on stilts to protect against flooding, now connected to the mainland by a dike. In the afternoon, we enjoy a guided tour of Amsterdam, exploring highlights including the iconic windmill and Rembrandt statue, the modern elegance of the South District, and the historic diamond-cutting area at Museum Square. We conclude the coach tour with a walk into the city centre, where your guided portion ends and you have free time to explore Amsterdam’s famous canals, markets and cafés at your leisure.
Day 3 - Amsterdam - Hamelin - Berlin
We leave Amsterdam this morning and travel into Germany, stopping first in Hamelin – a charming town famous for the Brothers Grimm fairy tale of the Pied Piper. The streets and shops here evoke the story’s atmosphere. Continuing on, we pass through Marienborn, once the border crossing between East and West Germany until reunification in 1990. We reach Berlin in the evening, where the day concludes.
Day 4 - Berlin
Today we explore Berlin with a local guide, beginning with a coach tour through the city’s key sights. From the bus, you’ll see Museum Island, the Television Tower, the main shopping streets in the city centre, the old cathedral damaged during World War II, the Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag building, and Berlin’s extensive parks. We will pause to visit the Holocaust Memorial and the Berlin Wall Memorial Museum—two significant sites reflecting Germany’s complex history in the last century. The afternoon is yours to discover Berlin at your own pace. Later, we’ll transfer you to the vibrant Kantstrasse area to enjoy the evening.
Day 5 - Berlin
After breakfast, your tour concludes in Berlin. We’ll ensure your transfer to the next destination or onward travel arrangements run smoothly, leaving you with lasting memories of your trip.
