Itinerary
Day 1 - Iquitos - Nauta
Upon arrival at Iquitos International Airport, a representative will welcome you and escort you to your transport for the journey to Tree House Lodge. Once at the lodge, you can begin to explore the Amazon rainforest up close. Lunch and dinner are served at the lodge. You may select from four to six a la carte activities, each lasting two to three hours depending on water levels and weather. Options include sunrise birdwatching from suspension bridges, where you can spot tanagers, toucans, parrots, antbirds and monkeys feeding nearby. At sunset, take a boat trip along the Yarapa and Ucayali rivers to the Amazon, where pink and grey river dolphins often appear against the evening sky. You can also enjoy a refreshing swim in the Amazon River or a canoe trip through the forest streams, experiencing the traditional river travel of local communities. Other activities include piranha fishing, a blowgun-making workshop led by a local villager, and guided jungle walks focusing on medicinal plants, the giant Victoria water lilies of the Oxbow lagoon, or nocturnal wildlife such as night monkeys and various primates. Daytime and night river cruises offer further opportunities to observe wildlife including macaws, hawks, owls and colourful frogs. You will spend the night in the Iquitos area.
Day 2 - Iquitos
Enjoy a hearty breakfast at the lodge before continuing your Amazon exploration. Make the most of the morning by selecting from a range of activities tailored to your interests—schedules and options are available at the lodge. Spend the day immersed in the rainforest’s unique environment, then return to the lodge to savour lunch and dinner. Overnight in the Iquitos area.
Day 3 - Iquitos
Enjoy a hearty breakfast at the lodge to start your final day in the jungle. Make the most of your last opportunity to explore by selecting new activities you haven’t yet experienced or revisiting your favourites. Activity schedules are available at the lodge to help you plan your day. Lunch and dinner are included at the lodge. You will spend the night in the Iquitos area.
Day 4 - Nauta - Iquitos
Wake up to a final breakfast at the lodge before we transfer you to Iquitos International Airport for your onward flight.
