Day 1 - Edinburgh
Upon your arrival in Scotland's picturesque capital, Edinburgh, you will be transferred to your hotel, providing you with a convenient start to your journey. Once settled, you'll have the opportunity to explore at your leisure and get your first glimpse of this vibrant city renowned for its rich history and stunning architecture. Don't worry about missing any essential details; you can find information about the start of your tour displayed on the boards at the hotel reception. Day 2 - Edinburgh
After enjoying breakfast, we will embark on a captivating panoramic tour of Edinburgh, the vibrant capital of Scotland and a hub of northern European culture. Our local guide will lead the way as we explore this UNESCO World Heritage Site, where history and modernity blend seamlessly. The city's monumental centre is famed for its striking castle, perched high above the urban landscape, as well as its steep, storied streets and charming parks. After the enlightening tour, you'll have the afternoon free to delve deeper into Edinburgh's offerings at your own pace, perhaps visiting one of its renowned museums or simply soaking up the unique atmosphere.
Day 3 - Edinburgh - The Kelpies - Stirling - Pitlochry - Culloden - Inverness
Leaving Edinburgh behind, we'll make our first stop at The Kelpies – striking horse head sculptures inspired by Scottish folklore. These remarkable works of art highlight the power and grace of horses while celebrating their ties to both water and land. Our journey then continues to Stirling, home to a historic centre dominated by its impressive castle. Stirling Castle, key to many significant moments in Scotland's past and the site of several royal coronations, is included in our visit.We'll then head north to Pitlochry, a charming town nestled in a region renowned for its whisky production. Here, you'll have time to enjoy lunch and a leisurely stroll. As we continue our northbound journey, we pause at Culloden, the site of a crucial battle in Scottish history. This infamous conflict marked a turning point with its severe repercussions on Scotland's cultural identity.In the evening, we arrive in Inverness, often known as the "Capital of the Highlands." We recommend exploring the banks of the River Ness and the iconic suspension bridge as you soak in the city's vibrant atmosphere. Please note that our visit to Culloden may occur on a Monday, depending on the time of year and daylight hours.
Day 4 - Inverness
Prepare yourself for an exciting day as we explore the captivating landscapes of northern Scotland, a region renowned for its enchanting lochs and fjords. Our adventure begins with a visit to Eilean Donan Castle, a stunning castle situated on the waters of a fjord, where your ticket is already covered. We then travel to Fort Augustus to admire the intricate sluice gate system, with plenty of time for you to enjoy lunch and a leisurely stroll.As the afternoon unfolds, a boat tour on the mysterious waters of Loch Ness awaits, included in your journey. Our next stop is the medieval Urquhart Castle, where you can delve into Scotland’s storied past, with your admission included. We return to Inverness, the heart of the Highlands nesting at the end of Loch Ness. Here, you'll visit a traditional whisky distillery, learning the art behind Scotland's cherished national drink, with an included tasting session. This whisky, crafted from barley, holds a place of pride both within Scotland and as a significant export. We'll settle in Inverness for the night. Note that the timing of the distillery visit may vary, occurring either late Sunday or on Monday, due to ticket availability.
Day 5 - Inverness - Fort William - Inveraray - Loch Lomond - Glasgow
Today, we continue our exploration of Scotland's breathtaking scenery. Our first stop is in Spean Bridge, where we'll visit a monument honouring the heroes of the Second World War. Following this, we'll head to Fort William, a popular destination located at the base of Ben Nevis, the tallest peak in the United Kingdom. As we travel, we'll pass by the atmospheric ruins of Kilchurn Castle, set dramatically by a dark, reflective lake. Our journey then takes us to the charming village of Inveraray, nestled by Loch Fyne. Here, you can enjoy lunch surrounded by the village's historic architecture, including a grand castle and serene streets. In the afternoon, we'll make our way along the scenic shores of Loch Lomond. By early evening, we'll reach Glasgow, allowing you time to explore the heart of this dynamic city.
Day 6 - Glasgow
