Itinerary
Day 1 - Arrival in Cape Town

Upon arrival at Cape Town International Airport, you will be met by a local representative and transferred to your hotel.
Cape Town, known as the “Mother City”, is the oldest city in South Africa, with a cultural heritage spanning more than 300 years. Set between the ocean and the mountains, with a national park at its centre, it offers a distinctive natural setting.
Tour Style: This tour can depart any day and is made up of a selection of excursions and activities, with transportation and accommodation. You will have different local guides for each excursion. All excursions are on a shared basis, meaning you will be joined by other travellers.
Day 2 - Cape Town City Tour

This morning, you will explore the city centre, passing the Castle of Good Hope, built in 1666 by the Dutch East India Company, City Hall, a baroque building, and the Grand Parade. Along Adderley Street, you will see St George’s Cathedral, the Anglican Diocese of Nobel Peace Laureate Archbishop Desmond Tutu.
Continuing past the Company Gardens to the Bo-Kaap, set on the slopes of Table Mountain. In the early 18th century, enslaved people from Java, Ceylon and other regions were brought to Cape Town. After slavery was abolished, their descendants, known as the Cape Malays, settled here.
You then visit a diamond workshop to observe diamond cutting and jewellery manufacturing and learn about the history of the diamond and gold trade in South Africa.
You will have the option to continue to Table Mountain and ascend by revolving cable car. Cable car tickets are at your own expense and operation is subject to weather conditions (we recommend booking the ticket in advance and can arrange this for you on request). From the summit, enjoy views across the city, its beaches, Robben Island and, on a clear day, Cape Point, as well as the mountain’s unique wildflowers and silver trees.
Day 3 - Cape Peninsula & Cape Point

After breakfast, you travel to Cape Point at the south-western tip of the Cape Peninsula. The drive passes steep mountains, secluded coves, sweeping beaches, as well as villages and fishing communities.
Following the Atlantic coastline through Sea Point and Camps Bay, with views of the Twelve Apostles, part of the Table Mountain range, before continuing to the Cape Point Nature Reserve. Covering over 17,300 acres, the reserve is home to baboons, reebok, Cape mountain zebra, bontebok and eland, as well as a variety of bird species, and is one of the world’s largest breeding grounds for tortoises.
The coastline is traditionally regarded as the meeting point of the Atlantic and Indian Oceans and is known for the strong “Cape Doctor” wind.
Next, you travel along False Bay through Simon’s Town. You will have the option of visiting the penguin colony at Boulders Beach (entrance fee not included), before continuing to Fish Hoek fishing village.
Before returning, you stop for afternoon tea and cake and visit Rhodes Memorial, situated on the slopes of Table Mountain and offering views across the city. After you will return to Cape Town, passing the University of Cape Town and Groote Schuur Hospital.
Day 4 - Exploring the Cape Winelands

Cape Town - Paarl - Franschhoek - Stellenbosch - Cape Town. Today, you depart for the Cape Winelands, travelling through Paarl, Franschhoek and Stellenbosch.

Continuing to Franschhoek, founded in 1688 by French Huguenots fleeing religious persecution. A memorial marks their arrival, and their influence helped develop wines sought after by Napoleon, Bismarck and Edward VII, the Prince of Wales. you will then have a stop, where you will have the chance to grab lunch, followed by a wine tasting.
You will travel to Stellenbosch, the second-oldest town in South Africa and the historic heart of the wine region. Founded in 1679 by Simon van der Stel, the area developed along the Eerste River. Dorp Street features Cape Dutch, Georgian and Victorian buildings, with oak trees shading the original water furrows. Here, you will enjoy a final wine tasting before returning to Cape Town.
