Itinerary
Day 1 - Malaga - Benalmádena
Upon arrival at Malaga Airport, we transfer you to your hotel in Benalmádena on the Costa del Sol. Spend the remainder of the day at your leisure in this attractive seaside town, known for its lively marina, charming old quarter, and extensive sandy beaches. You may choose to explore the waterfront and local cafés at your own pace or simply relax and enjoy the hotel’s amenities. Overnight in Benalmádena.
Day 2 - Benalmádena - Ronda - Seville - Seville
After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for Ronda. Upon arrival, you will see the remarkably preserved ruins of five defensive walls, a testament to Ronda’s turbulent history. The town’s timeless charm is evident as we explore its maze of whitewashed, cobbled streets leading to the iconic New Bridge spanning the 120-metre-deep El Tajo Gorge. During the visit, we admire notable landmarks including Mudejar towers, Renaissance palaces and baroque churches. Afterwards, we continue to Seville, where you will check in to your hotel and spend the night.
Day 3 - Seville - Seville
After breakfast at the hotel, we begin with a panoramic tour of Seville, the vibrant capital of Andalusia renowned for its authentic Spanish character and striking architecture. We pause for photos at the enchanting María Luisa Park, home to two remarkable squares: Plaza de España, famed for its colourful tiles, ornate redbrick towers, bridges and canals, and Plaza de América, bordered by impressive neo-Gothic and neo-Mudéjar palaces. The remainder of the day is yours to explore Seville at your leisure, whether wandering its historic streets, visiting landmarks, or enjoying local cafés. Overnight in Seville.
Day 4 - Seville - Cordoba - Granada
After breakfast, we leave Seville and travel to Córdoba. Upon arrival, you have free time to explore this historic city independently. Once the capital of the Moorish caliphate of Al-Andalus, Córdoba is famed for the Mezquita, a remarkable building that blends its origins as a mosque with later Catholic cathedral additions. Take time to admire the intricate mihrab and the side chapels, which showcase a unique mix of arabesque and baroque styles. Wander through the peaceful Patio of the Orange Trees, shaded by a hundred trees, and appreciate the detailed arabesque decorations on the exterior doorways. In the afternoon, we continue to Granada, where you will check in for the night.
Day 5 - Granada
After breakfast at the hotel, spend the day exploring Granada at your leisure, capturing photographs of its most iconic sights. Once the capital of the last Muslim kingdom in Spain, Granada still reflects its Moorish heritage through landmarks such as the magnificent Alhambra Palace and the winding streets of the Albaicín district. You may also wish to visit the Corral del Carbón, the only remaining caravanserai in Spain. Overnight in Granada.
Day 6 - Granada - Nerja - Mijas
After breakfast, we depart for Nerja, a quaint fishing and agricultural village east of Málaga. Nerja’s unique setting between sea and mountains offers stunning views from the Balcón de Europa, a cliffside viewpoint overlooking the Mediterranean. You’ll have time to wander the village’s whitewashed houses and cobbled streets at your own pace, with plenty of options to enjoy lunch in one of the local restaurants. Afterward, we continue to your hotel in Mijas for the night.
Day 7 - Mijas
After an early breakfast, enjoy a full day at your leisure in Mijas. Take the opportunity to relax and recharge at your hotel or explore the charming whitewashed village perched between the Mediterranean and the Mijas mountains. You might choose to spend a restful morning followed by a siesta after lunch, then venture out in the afternoon to soak up the authentic atmosphere of this peaceful Andalusian town in your own time. Overnight in Mijas/Costa del Sol.
