Day 1 - Madrid
Welcome to Madrid. Upon your arrival at the airport, we will transfer you to your hotel. You will have some free time before the tour begins. Please check the information boards at the hotel reception for details about the welcome meeting with your guide and fellow travellers. In the evening, we will provide a transfer to Plaza Mayor and La Latina, Madrid’s most vibrant neighbourhood known for its nightlife and tapas bars. You can choose to dine at a restaurant of your preference, with options including Indian, Chinese, Spanish and Middle Eastern cuisines.
Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour.
Day 2 - Madrid
We begin the day with a comprehensive tour of central Madrid, taking in iconic landmarks such as Paseo del Prado, the impressive Cibeles and Neptune fountains, Puerta de Alcalá, Plaza de Colón, and the historic Plaza Mayor. We then visit Retiro Park, a peaceful city centre green space where we’ll see the lake and the elegant Palacio de Cristal. Included is admission to Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, home to Real Madrid, one of the world’s most renowned football clubs. The afternoon is yours to enjoy at leisure. In the evening, we provide transfer back to your hotel.
Day 3 - Madrid - Granada
We leave Madrid early this morning, travelling south through the plains of La Mancha. Our first stop is Puerto Lápice, a picturesque village famously linked to Don Quixote. Continuing into Andalusia via the Despeñaperros mountain pass, we arrive in Granada in time for an included lunch. The afternoon is free for you to explore—consider visiting the Cathedral, which contains the tombs of the Catholic Monarchs, or wandering the Albaicín neighbourhood, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the Alhambra from the Mirador de San Nicolás. Please note that entrance to the Alhambra is not included; tickets should be purchased in advance through the official website or authorised agencies.
Day 4 - Granada - Nerja - Malaga - Ronda - Seville
Today we leave the Sierra Nevada mountain range behind and follow the Mediterranean coast along the Tropical Coast—a region known for its year-round mild climate that supports crops like guavas, mangoes and avocados, as well as sugar cane in the past. We stop in Nerja, a charming coastal town renowned for its dramatic cliffs, before continuing to Málaga, the vibrant capital of the Costa del Sol. Here, we’ll have time for lunch and a walk through the city’s historic centre. Later, we head into the Andalusian sierras to visit Ronda, a striking whitewashed town famous for the deep gorge that divides it. Our day concludes with arrival in Seville, where dinner is included at the hotel.
Day 5 - Seville - Zaragoza
We begin the day with a panoramic tour of Seville, exploring key sights including the magnificent cathedral and its iconic Giralda tower, the scenic banks of the Guadalquivir River, and the vibrant neighbourhoods of Santa Cruz and Triana. Following the tour, we enjoy a relaxing boat ride along the Guadalquivir, offering a unique perspective of the city. In the afternoon, you will be transferred to the train station to board the high-speed service to Zaragoza, departing around 4:30 p.m. This journey covers approximately 850 kilometres and takes just under four hours. Upon arrival in Zaragoza, a transfer will take you to your hotel. Please note that this train journey will not be accompanied by your tour guide.
Day 6 - Zaragoza - Poblet - Barcelona
We begin the day with a guided panoramic tour of Zaragoza, starting at the Cathedral-Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar. We’ll explore works by the renowned painter Goya and view some of his masterpieces. The tour continues to the Roman theatre and a Renaissance palace before a stroll around the impressive Aljafería Palace. After lunch, we travel to Catalonia to visit Poblet Abbey, a remarkably well-preserved medieval monastery set within tranquil surroundings—admission is included. Later, we continue to Barcelona, arriving in the evening.
Day 7 - Barcelona
We begin the day with a panoramic tour of Barcelona, one of Europe’s most captivating capitals. Facing the Mediterranean Sea, the city is famed for Gaudí’s distinctive modernist architecture, its vibrant Ramblas, and landmarks from the World Expositions and Olympic Games. The tour concludes at Maremagnum, a contemporary leisure and dining area by the sea next to Columbus Square, where you can enjoy a relaxed stroll. The afternoon is yours to explore at leisure before we return to the hotel later in the day.
Day 8 - Barcelona
After breakfast, the tour concludes, leaving you with lasting memories of your time in Barcelona.
