Day 2 - Exploring Boston
Today, our day begins by exploring the culinary delights of Boston's North End. This vibrant neighbourhood, known for its Italian heritage, offers an array of freshly baked artisanal breads and classic pizza slices that are sure to delight your palate. Savour a latte or cappuccino at one of the area's renowned coffee shops to fully awaken your senses.
Next, our local guide will lead you along the historic Freedom Trail, where we'll uncover key sites from the American Revolution. We'll visit Boston Common, the oldest public park in America, the Old State House, and the site of the Boston Massacre. We'll also stop by Faneuil Hall, a longstanding hub of public discourse in the city.
After our historical journey through Boston, we'll head to the prestigious Harvard University. Stroll through Harvard Square and under the leafy arches of Harvard Yard. Marvel at the Victorian Gothic style of Memorial Hall and glimpse the famed Natural History Museum. Following the tour, your guide will be happy to suggest dining options in and around Cambridge.

Day 3 - Boston to New York City
Boston - New York City. This morning, we depart from Boston heading for New York City, where we'll spend a few days exploring the city's iconic attractions. Our journey begins with a stop in New Haven, a charming New England harbour town and home to Yale University. Here, we'll pause for a pizza lunch to energise us for our New York experience.
Upon arriving in New York, we'll check into our hotel before you embark on a guided walk along the High Line. This former elevated railway has been transformed into a unique urban park, offering curated gardens, wild spaces, and captivating city views—an oasis amidst the bustle below. Our next stop is Chelsea Market, not only a renowned food hall and shopping destination but also the birthplace of the Oreo biscuit.
With your appetite whetted by the market's offerings, we'll set off on a culinary tour of New York City's Lower East Side. We’ll visit shops run by multi-generational immigrant families, sampling traditional delights such as knishes, pickles, bialys, and babka.

Day 4 - Iconic Sights of New York City
Prepare for a full day of exploration in New York City, experiencing its vibrant atmosphere on foot and by subway—an essential part of local life. We'll begin with a breakfast food tour in the trendy DUMBO area, known for its stylish boutiques, restaurants, and cafes nestled within converted industrial warehouses.
Next, we will enjoy a leisurely walk across the iconic Brooklyn Bridge, where our guide will recount gripping tales of its construction, all while offering stunning views of Manhattan. We'll continue to the city's west side to board the Staten Island Ferry, offering a remarkable view of the Statue of Liberty.
Upon returning to land, we'll stroll down Wall Street, visit the famous Charging Bull, and pay respects at the poignant 9/11 memorial. Our day continues with a walk through some of Central Park's lesser-known spots.

Day 5 - Scenic Pennsylvania to Philadelphia
New York City - Philadelphia. After breakfast, we exchange urban landscapes for the scenic beauty of Amish Country, as we leave New York heading for Philadelphia. Journeying to the heart of Pennsylvania, we enjoy a unique lunch with an Amish family on their farm. Afterwards, we explore the countryside, stopping at roadside stands and shops to sample renowned baked goods and ice cream. For those keen to delve into local cuisine, you might try Pennsylvania Dutch specialties such as scrapple or pick up some homemade apple butter.
As we traverse Pennsylvania's picturesque hills, streams, and extensive fields of corn and wheat, your guide will enlighten you about the history and culture of the area's Amish and Mennonite communities, addressing both realities and common misconceptions. Alternatively, you might take the chance to rest up for tomorrow's adventure in Philadelphia.
We'll arrive in Philadelphia by late afternoon, giving you time to check in to your hotel. Our culinary exploration begins with a classic Philly cheesesteak, where we'll guide you on how to order like a local. Afterwards, you can either explore more of the city or retire to your hotel to prepare for another day of sightseeing.

Day 6 - Discovering Philadelphia
This morning, we embark on a comprehensive city tour of Philadelphia's historic landmarks. Our journey begins at Independence Hall, where both the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution were signed. We will pass by the homes of notable Philadelphians like Betsy Ross and Benjamin Franklin, and observe the iconic Liberty Bell, a renowned symbol of American freedom. The city's cobblestone streets and colonial architecture will transport us back to the era of the American Revolution.
After immersing ourselves in American history, we will visit Reading Terminal Market, a bustling food hall offering a myriad of culinary delights. From cream-filled cannoli to freshly hand-rolled doughnuts, the market is a feast for the senses, and you will have time to try them.
Once your appetite is piqued, we’ll head to the historic 9th Street Italian Market for a series of tastings. This market, family-owned for generations, presents a wide array of offerings, such as Philly's famous tomato pie and international artisanal cheeses. Rest assured, you will not leave hungry!
As the day concludes, after exploring sights, indulging in food, and absorbing history, we will enjoy a farewell dinner in downtown Philadelphia.

Day 7 - Departure from Philadelphia
Today marks the end of our East Coast food journey. Your guide will meet you for a tour wrap-up and answer any questions you may have. They will also be happy to offer recommendations for your extended stay or future travels with us.
