Amazing Alexandria
Cairo - Alexandria. After breakfast, you'll embark for Alexandria where a guided tour awaits.
Our first stop - the Pompey's Column - stands thirty meters tall and is crafted from Aswan pink granite. While here, we will also visit the entrance of the Kom el-Shoqafa Catacombs. Perched atop a hill, these catacombs were discovered by chance in the early 20th century.
Next stop is the Montaza Gardens, a sprawling 150-hectare park surrounding the palace of Khedive Abbas. Admire the captivating architecture as you stroll through the gardens or relax on the sandy beaches.
Then, visit the Alexandrina Bibliotheca - the New Library of Alexandria. Dedicated to reviving the spirit of the original Bibliotheca Alexandrina, this institution encompasses 13 different departments. Beyond being a library, it serves as the hub for various international and regional networks.
As today's tour draws to an end, catch a glimpse of the Qaitbay Citadel, which was erected around 1480 on the site of the ancient Alexandria lighthouse.
