Itinerary
Day 1 - Hermanus Whale Watching or Gansbaai Shark Cage Diving & Cape Agulhas Southernmost Tip

You will be picked up from your independently booked hotel in Cape Town this morning for your chosen activity. You have the choice of two morning excursions before continuing towards Cape Agulhas. Option one takes you to Hermanus, known for its whale watching, where you board a boat from New Harbour for two hours of close encounters with Southern Right Whales, with an approved whale watching operator.
Please note: entrance fees for the whale watching boat trip are not included.
Option two is a shark cage diving excursion: you are collected from your accommodation in Cape Town between 4 am and 6 am (your exact pick-up time is confirmed 24 hours in advance) for the drive to Gansbaai along the N2. On arrival, you sign in for a safety briefing and light breakfast, before chartering a boat out to sea for 3 to 4 hours of Great White shark encounters from the safety of a cage, guided by an approved shark cage diving operator.
Both groups reunite at the base in Gansbaai before continuing together to Cape Agulhas, the southernmost tip of Africa. Lunch is recommended at an informal restaurant here, at your own expense. Cape Agulhas marks the official meeting point of the Indian and Atlantic Oceans, where you can take a photo with one foot in each, and you also see the Cape Agulhas Lighthouse, one of the oldest in South Africa. You spend the night at accommodation in Cape Agulhas.
Day 2 - R62 Route, Karusa Wine Tasting & Oudtshoorn Cango Caves Tour

After breakfast, you leave Cape Agulhas behind and join the R62 towards Oudtshoorn. Along the way, you stop for a refreshment break at a well-known local roadside institution, before continuing to a wine estate for a tasting, with the option of lunch here at an additional cost.
You continue to Oudtshoorn, known as the Ostrich Capital of South Africa, to explore the Cango Caves. Set at the foothills of the Swartberg range, the caves are among South Africa's most visited thanks to their unique formations, and you can choose between an easy-walking Heritage Tour or a more physical Adventure Tour through narrower tunnels and spaces. You spend the night at accommodation in Oudtshoorn.
Day 3 - Oudtshoorn Ostrich Farm, Wilderness Canopy Canoeing & Knysna Waterfront

In the morning, you visit an ostrich show farm for an hour to see the birds up close, before continuing to Wilderness National Park for a canoeing adventure along the Touw River, taking in the indigenous forest scenery. You step off the canoe for a 2-kilometre hike to see waterfalls and rock pools, with the chance for a swim if the weather allows.
You then continue along the Garden Route to Knysna, stopping at the Knysna Waterfront for optional lunch at an additional cost and to take in views of the lagoon and the Knysna Heads. You spend the night at accommodation in Knysna.
Day 4 - Bloukrans Bridge Bungee Jump & Tsitsikamma Storms River Suspension Bridge Hike

You depart Knysna for Bloukrans Bridge, where you have the option to bungee jump from the highest bungee bridge in the world, at an additional cost - or, for those less keen on the leap, a walk across the bridge is an equally thrilling alternative.
You continue to Tsitsikamma National Park for a 900-metre hike to the suspension bridge over the Storms River Mouth. You spend the night at accommodation in Tsitsikamma.
Day 5 - Addo Elephant National Park Safari & Jeffrey's Bay Overnight

This morning, you travel around 2.5 hours to Addo Elephant National Park, taking in scenic views along the way. On arrival, you spend 3 hours driving through the park in search of wildlife and elephants.
Please note: if you'd like to see more, a 2-hour game drive in an open 4x4 safari vehicle is available at an additional cost (game drive entrance fees excluded).
Addo is home to more than 600 elephants. Afterwards, you continue to Jeffrey's Bay, where you spend the night.
Day 6 - Mossel Bay Skydiving or St. Blaize Trail & Return to Cape Town

Today, you make your way back to Cape Town, with stops along the way in Mossel Bay, where you can join an optional skydiving adventure at an additional cost, or spend an hour sightseeing along the St Blaize Trail, with the option of lunch at the beach here too.
You arrive back in Cape Town between 6 pm and 7 pm, where you are dropped off at your chosen location.
Please note: accommodation in Cape Town on this final night is not included and should be arranged independently.
