Itinerary
Day 1 - Frankfurt
Upon arrival in Frankfurt, you will be transferred to your hotel where you can settle in and enjoy some free time at your leisure. In the afternoon, please refer to the information boards located at the hotel reception for details about the start of your tour. This allows you to familiarise yourself with the itinerary and prepare for the days ahead.
Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour.
Day 2 - Frankfurt - Cruise on the Rhine - Cologne - Amsterdam
Today we begin with a scenic cruise along the Rhine, sailing between the villages of Rüdesheim and St. Goar – an especially picturesque stretch of the river renowned for its stunning landscapes and historic castles. Following the cruise, we travel to Cologne, where you’ll see its impressive Gothic cathedral, a landmark that defines the city’s skyline. Later, we continue our journey towards the Netherlands, arriving in Amsterdam during the evening.
Day 3 - Amsterdam
Today we visit some of Holland’s most picturesque locations, starting with Zaanse Schans. This open-air museum offers traditional Dutch houses, canals and iconic windmills. Next, we travel to Volendam, a charming fishing village known for its scenic harbour. From there, we take a short boat ride to Marken, formerly an island, now connected to the mainland by a dike. Marken’s distinctive houses were originally built on stilts to protect against flooding. In the afternoon, we enjoy a guided tour of Amsterdam, including the famous windmill and the Rembrandt statue, the stylish South District, and the historic diamond-cutting quarter at Museum Square. The tour concludes in the city centre, where you have free time to explore Amsterdam’s canals, markets and cafés at your own pace.
Day 4 - Amsterdam - Brussels - Paris
After breakfast, we travel to Belgium, arriving in Brussels—just over 200 kilometres away—home to the principal European institutions. We will admire the impressive Grand Place, a fine example of Flemish Baroque architecture, and stroll past the iconic Manneken Pis statue. Brussels blends rich history with a dynamic, multicultural atmosphere. In the afternoon, we continue into France, reaching Paris by the end of the day.
Day 5 - Paris
We begin the day with a visit to the magnificent Palace of Versailles (admission not included), renowned for its opulent interiors and spectacular gardens—a prime example of French grandeur and history. Returning to Paris, we explore Montmartre, a distinctive bohemian neighbourhood celebrated for its artistic heritage and lively cabaret scene. To capture the essence of the city, we then enjoy a panoramic tour with a local guide, taking in Paris’s grand avenues and iconic monuments. After the tour, we return to the hotel, with the option to attend an evening variety show for those who wish to extend their experience.
Day 6 - Paris - Rouen
We begin our day in central Paris with a visit to the iconic Eiffel Tower, including tickets to ascend to the second floor of this renowned iron landmark. Following this, we’ll enjoy a leisurely boat cruise along the Seine, taking in the city from the water. The afternoon is yours to explore Paris at your own pace. Around 4:00 p.m., we depart for Normandy, arriving in Rouen. Here, you’ll have free time to wander the historic centre, known for its medieval architecture and impressive Gothic cathedral—a site that reflects the city’s rich Roman and medieval heritage. Please note, if wait times at the Eiffel Tower are excessively long, we may adjust the visit to a later time or day to ensure a smooth experience.
Day 7 - Rouen - English Channel - Canterbury - London
This morning we’ll take a leisurely walk through the centre of Rouen, exploring its historic streets and notable landmarks. Afterwards, we’ll travel north, crossing the English Channel by ferry to reach Canterbury, England’s religious heart, known for its picturesque historic centre. From Canterbury, we continue to London, where you’ll have some free time around the Tower Bridge area—one of the city’s most recognisable icons—before we head to the hotel for the night.
Day 8 - London
We begin the day with a panoramic tour of London led by a local guide, highlighting the city’s rich culture and history. Along the route, we’ll see iconic landmarks such as the Houses of Parliament, the River Thames, and Buckingham Palace, where you may have the chance to witness the famous Changing of the Guard, depending on the schedule. In the evening, we’ll gather at a designated meeting point in Piccadilly to enjoy a leisurely walk through Leicester Square, Chinatown, and Soho—areas known for their vibrant nightlife, theatres, and diverse entertainment. You’ll have plenty of options for dinner before we return to the hotel.
Day 9 - London
After breakfast, we’ll visit the British Museum, one of the world’s oldest and most celebrated institutions, home to a vast collection of artefacts from cultures across the globe. At lunchtime, we’ll transfer you to Camden, renowned for its lively and diverse market, where you can browse an array of unique stalls. The afternoon is yours to explore this vibrant area or enjoy London at your own pace.
Day 10 - London
After breakfast, your tour concludes, leaving you with lasting memories of your journey.
