Day 1 - Jabalpur to Bandhavgarh National Park
On arrival at Jabalpur airport, we meet you with assistance and transfer by road to Bandhavgarh National Park – 165 kilometres, around 3.5 hours – before checking in at the resort. Dinner and overnight at the resort.
Day 2 - Bandhavgarh National Park Safaris
After breakfast at the resort, we venture into Bandhavgarh National Park for morning and afternoon gypsy safaris in the tiger reserve with a naturalist – exploring the main zones of Tala, Magdhi and Khitauli. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included at the resort, where we stay overnight.
Set in the Vindhya hills of Madhya Pradesh, Bandhavgarh is home to more than 22 species of mammals and around 250 species of birds. Possible sightings include common langurs and rhesus macaques, wild pig, spotted deer, sambar, chausingha, nilgai, chinkara and gaur, as well as carnivores such as Asiatic jackal, Bengal fox, sloth bear, ratel, grey mongoose, striped hyena, jungle cat, leopard and tiger – with occasional appearances by dhole, small Indian civet, palm squirrel and lesser bandicoot rat.
Day 3 - Journey to Kanha National Park
Bandhavgarh National Park – Kanha National Park (215 km – approx. 4.3 hours). After breakfast at the resort, we head out on a morning jeep safari in Bandhavgarh National Park. After lunch, we drive to Kanha National Park – a journey of about 215 km taking roughly 4.3 hours – and check in at the resort. Overnight at the resort.
Day 4 - Kanha National Park Safaris
After breakfast at the resort, we head into Kanha Tiger Reserve for morning and afternoon gypsy safaris accompanied by a naturalist. All meals are included today – breakfast, lunch and dinner – and we stay overnight at the resort.
Kanha’s vast grasslands extend across approximately 2,000 sq km, surrounded by the Satpura Range and the Banjar and Halon valleys. The reserve is home to tigers, leopards, wild dogs, wild cats, foxes and jackals. Among the deer, the hard ground barasingha (Cervus duvaucelii branderi) is a standout – the only subspecies of swamp deer in India apart from the great swamp deer of the Sundarbans – adapted to firm ground rather than marsh. Indian gaur (Bos gaurus) live here too, as do dholes – wild dogs – and blackbuck.
Day 5 - Kanha Safari & Pench National Park
After breakfast at the resort, we set out on a morning jeep safari in Kanha National Park. After lunch, we drive approximately 200 km – around 4 hours – to Pench National Park and check in at the resort on arrival. Overnight at the resort.
Day 6 - Pench National Park Safaris
After breakfast at the resort, we head into Pench National Park for morning and afternoon gypsy safaris with a naturalist. The reserve is home to the Bengal tiger and a remarkable range of wildlife – 39 mammal species, 13 reptiles and 3 amphibians. Common sightings include chital, sambar, nilgai, wild boar and jackal, and the birdlife is prolific, with more than 210 recorded species such as peafowl, Indian roller, drongos and kingfishers. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included. Overnight at the resort.
Day 7 - Journey to Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve
After breakfast at the resort, we head out on a morning Jeep safari in Pench National Park. After lunch, we drive to Tadoba Andhari National Park – a journey of about 225 km taking roughly 4 hours by road – and check in at the resort on arrival. Overnight at the resort.
Day 8 - Tadoba Tiger Safaris
After breakfast, we set out on morning and afternoon gypsy safaris with a naturalist in Tadoba Andhari National Park. The reserve spans three ranges – Tadoba north, Kolsa south and Morhurli – and includes Tadoba Lake, Kolsa Lake and the Tadoba River, which fill each monsoon. We return to the resort for lunch between drives, then head back into the park before dinner and an overnight stay. The park is rich in flora and fauna; along the tracks we pass forests of teak, ain, bija, dhauda, hald, salai and semal, with tendu, beheda, hirda, karaya gum, mahua madhuca, arjun, bamboo, bheria and black plum also present. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included – overnight at the resort.
Day 9 - Journey to Nagpur
Tadoba National Park to Nagpur – 145 km/3 hours approx. After breakfast at the resort, we set out on a final morning jeep safari in the national park. After lunch, we drive to Nagpur – a journey of around three hours – and drop you at the airport to board your onward flight.
