Bangalore to Nagarhole Safari

Start in Bangalore and finish back in Bangalore on this three day wildlife escape – a relaxed yet immersive journey into Kabini and Nagarhole National Park. You’ll settle into a comfortable jungle resort and head out on a tranquil boat safari, scanning for waterbirds, basking crocodiles and elephants along the riverbanks. The next day brings morning and afternoon jeep or canter safaris through teak forests and grasslands – keep an eye out for tiger tracks, playful deer and langurs, bright kingfishers and soaring raptors. Round things off with an optional final safari or a guided nature walk before the scenic return drive.

Day 1 - Bangalore to Nagarhole National Park
We leave Bengaluru (Bangalore) and drive to Kabini/Nagarhole National Park – a journey of about 222 km taking roughly 4 hours. On arrival, we check in to a cosy resort set amid the wilderness, combining modern comforts with a peaceful setting.
Later, we head out on a boat safari, gliding along calm waters while we keep a lookout for waterbirds, basking crocodiles and, with luck, elephants at the water’s edge. Overnight at the resort.
Day 2 - Nagarhole National Park
Wake to the sounds of the forest and set out on a morning land safari in Kabini/Nagarhole National Park. We travel by Canter or Jeep with park guides, exploring the park’s tracks in search of wildlife – keep your camera ready for Bengal tiger, elephants and other residents of the reserve. After lunch at the resort, we head back out for an afternoon land safari, covering different areas to maximise sightings. We focus on the park’s rich birdlife – from bright kingfishers to soaring raptors – and watch for animal activity as the day cools. Return to the resort for the evening – overnight at the resort.
Day 3 - Bangalore
At first light, you can choose an optional final land safari to explore new tracks, or join a leisurely nature walk with an experienced naturalist to focus on the forest’s finer details. After breakfast, we depart Kabini or Nagarhole National Park for Bengaluru – 222 km and around 4 hours by road. Use the journey to reflect on your wildlife sightings before we arrive back in the city.
