For many, the image of a solitary acacia tree set against the perfectly flat horizon of endless grassy plains punctuated by lumbering elephants and grazing zebras is the quintessential image of Africa and it's what you'll discover in Kenya, a richly-rewarding safari destination. Kenya is a land of surprisingly dramatic geography from the ragged mountain peaks of the Great Rift Valley to the palm-fringed white sand beaches along the Indian Ocean with a great many natural habitats in-between, home to some of the continents best loved animals.Read More
In Kenya you'll see the Great Migration when millions of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle make the perilous journey south to neighbouring Tanzania following the rains for greener pastures. Kenya is also home to one of Africa's most well-known tribal peoples, the colourful Masai who continue to carve out a traditional way of life.

Wildlife was amazing, great time though we won’t miss the long travel days on the truck. Campsites were good, equipment was good. Good range of optional activities. Food was good, thanks to our chef Wyclef. Our guide Hesbon was extremely patient and accommodating to many demands. Highly recommended, our group size of 13 was great, more would have felt cramped given time in transit.”
We had a marvellous time with our guide, cook and driver. We formed a lasting bond. I found Chris to be very very knowledgeable and always on top of everything we needed to do during our tour. He helped us out even before being asked and was full of fun and joined in our games and music and stories and laughter.
This is my second trip with On the Go tours and both have been fabulous. ”
Excellent valued tour for people who have the time and prepared to rough it a bit to have a great experience.Guides were very knowledgeable and terrific to learn from. Cook and driver also had many tour years of knowledge. We were the oldest (63yrs) but still had a fun time and always felt looked after and safe.”

Kenya is a fantastic safari destination at any time of year with world-famous national parks home to an incredible array of wildlife and brief wet seasons. The Masai Mara is home to the Big 5 and witnesses the Great Migration that follows a year-long cycle so there's always something of interest taking place on the savanna. Even when the rains come there's still good wildlife viewing thanks to thinner crowds and a steady animal population in other national parks.
