Day 1 - Zurich
Welcome to Zurich. Upon arrival, we’ll transfer you to your hotel where you can settle in at your leisure. In the afternoon, you’ll find all the necessary information about the start of your tour displayed on the notice boards in the hotel reception area, giving you time to prepare for the days ahead.
Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour.
Day 2 - Zurich
We begin the day with a guided tour of Zurich, Switzerland’s largest city and its financial and cultural centre. Known for its banking industry, Zurich has been recognised twice as the city with the best quality of life worldwide. Following the city exploration, we take a scenic cruise on Lake Zurich lasting almost two hours. Along the way, we make brief stops to appreciate the charming lakeside villages. We disembark in Rapperswil, a quaint village famous for its medieval castle. From there, we return to Zurich by train, offering a chance to experience the renowned efficiency and punctuality of the Swiss railway system. Please note that, depending on group size, transfers to and from the city centre may be by public transport.
Day 3 - Zurich - Lucerne - Zurich
Today we travel through striking mountain landscapes and clear lakes in the Interlaken region. Our first stop is Grindelwald, where we pause for a coffee before taking a cable car up the mountain. From there, we follow a winding path to a suspended bridge offering spectacular views of the nearby glaciers—adventurous travellers may wish to cross it. Lunch is included on the mountain before we descend and continue to Lucerne, regarded as one of Switzerland’s most picturesque cities. You will have free time to explore and enjoy the charming streets before we return to Zurich. An optional full-day excursion starts in the morning, including time in Lucerne and a ride on a rotating cable car to the summit of Mount Titlis, over 3,000 metres high, for panoramic views of the glacier and Alps.
Day 4 - Zurich - Strasbourg - Paris
We leave Zurich and travel to Strasbourg, the capital of the Alsace region, known for its unique blend of French and German culture. You’ll have time to explore the city at your leisure and discover its charming streets and historic architecture. Later, we continue to Paris, arriving in the evening.
Day 5 - Paris
We’ll begin the day with a visit to the magnificent Palace of Versailles, famous for its impressive gardens and rich history (admission not included). On returning to Paris, we’ll explore Montmartre, a bohemian district known for its artistic heritage and vibrant atmosphere. To capture the full splendour of the city, we’ll take a panoramic tour with a local guide, passing by grand boulevards and iconic landmarks. We’ll then return to the hotel, and for those interested, an optional evening variety show is available.
Day 6 - Paris
We begin the day in central Paris with a visit to the iconic Eiffel Tower, where we’ll take you up to the second floor of this renowned iron structure – tickets are included. Afterwards, we’ll enjoy a leisurely one-hour fifteen-minute boat cruise along the Seine, taking in the city’s famous landmarks from the water. The afternoon is yours to explore Paris at your own pace; transfers back to the hotel are not included. Please note, if queues at the Eiffel Tower are lengthy, we may reschedule the visit to a later time or the following day to ensure your convenience.
