Chiang Mai Break

On arrival at Chiang Mai Airport, we meet you in the Arrivals hall – look for a driver holding a sign with your name. We transfer you, unescorted, to your hotel so you can check in and settle. The remainder of the day is at your leisure – you can relax after the flight or take a gentle stroll nearby at your own pace. Overnight in Chiang Mai.

After breakfast, you have a full day to explore Chiang Mai at your own pace. Relax, wander the markets or simply enjoy time at the hotel.If you prefer, you can join the optional Half-Day Doi Suthep Temple and City Temples tour, which runs daily in English as a shared activity. Pick-up is from Hotel Empress, with the tour operating 08:30–13:30; transfers are included, meals are not. Dress casually – comfortable, light clothing is recommended. If you plan to take this tour, please arrange your arrival so you can join it on Day 2.The tour follows the winding road up the hillside to Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, Chiang Mai’s most significant temple, around 600 years old and set 3,500 feet above sea level. On clear days the terrace offers panoramic views across the city. You can climb the 306-step Naga staircase or take the funicular. Inside stands the copper-plated chedi topped with a five–tier gold parasol, said to enshrine relics of the Lord Buddha – a symbol of the city. Back in town, the itinerary includes Wat Suan Dok, the King’s flower garden temple with a large central stupa, and Wat Chedi Luang with its impressive chedi, originally built in 1411.Overnight in Chiang Mai.

Begin your final morning in Chiang Mai with breakfast at the hotel. We then transfer you to Chiang Mai Airport for your onward journey – the transfer is unescorted.
