Day 1 - San Jose - Uvita
Upon arrival at Juan Santamaría Airport, a representative will welcome you and escort you to your transport for the journey to your hotel, with check-in scheduled around 3:00 pm. You will then travel to Uvita, a tranquil beach town on Costa Rica’s southern Pacific coast known for its stunning coastline, waterfalls, abundant wildlife, and relaxed atmosphere. This is an ideal place to experience the authentic spirit of Costa Rica. You will spend the night in Uvita.
Day 2 - Uvita
After breakfast, we set off from Uvita beach for a boat trip to Caño Island, approximately 1.5 hours away. Along the way, there’s a chance to spot dolphins or whales, depending on the season. The boat ride may be smooth or a little bumpy, depending on the tides. Upon arrival, we enjoy two snorkelling sessions at different sites selected by our captain and guides based on daily conditions. Snorkelling typically lasts around 2.5 hours, though this can vary with visibility and participant ability. Afterwards, we head to the island’s main beach, where you can use the facilities before returning to the boat. Lunch is provided and usually served on the nearby Violines Island, weather permitting; if not, we return to Uvita beach for lunch. Caño Island lies 53 kilometres offshore and is surrounded by coral reef platforms hosting a variety of marine life, including parrotfish, Moorish idols, sea turtles, stingrays, moray eels and white-tip reef sharks. We return to Uvita for the night.
Day 3 - Uvita - San Jose
After breakfast, we will collect you from your hotel in Uvita at the agreed time and transfer you to Juan Santamaría Airport for your onward journey.
