Princes Islands
Located in the Sea of Marmara off the coast of Istanbul, the Princes’ Islands are a chain of nine islands offering a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of Turkey’s largest city. Buyukada is the largest island of the nine and one of the most attractive with two peaks and gingerbread-style villas lining the slopes.
Day 1 - Princes' Islands
On our one day tour of the Buyukada Island you will be transfered to the port early this morning for a boat trip across the Marmara Sea. Buyukada is the most-visited of the Princes’ Islands, a colourful and charming summer resort with plenty to see and do. Walking through the historic Ottoman ferry terminal you emerge in the bustling town centre, filled with a collection of quaint shops and restaurants. Just off Dock Square we board an electric buggy for a short tour of the town including the shores of the island and the green-covered hills. With private vehicles and taxis banned on the island, this really is the only way to get around! Lunch is enjoyed at a local seafood restaurant offering stunning views out across the Marmara Sea. Later this afternoon return back to Istanbul by ferry with an included transfer to your hotel.
