In Mumbai you’ll cruise to Elephanta Caves, see the Gateway of India and colonial facades, and glimpse everyday enterprise in Dharavi. Fly to Kochi’s old quarters and Chinese fishing nets, then drift through Alleppey’s canals on a private houseboat. Continue to Delhi for Old and New Delhi highlights – rickshaw lanes, Mughal splendour and buzzing bazaars. Move on to Agra for the Taj Mahal, call at Fatehpur Sikri and Chand Baori, and finish in Jaipur with the Amber Fort and Hawa Mahal.

Itinerary
Day 1 - Mumbai
On arrival in Mumbai, our representative will meet you at the airport and assist with your transfer to the hotel and check-in. The rest of the day is at leisure – you can unwind after your flight and settle in at your own pace. Overnight in Mumbai.
Day 2 - Exploring Mumbai
After breakfast, we set out on a guided tour of Mumbai. We begin at the Elephanta Caves – a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its ancient rock cut temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. Back in the city, we visit the Gateway of India overlooking the Arabian Sea, followed by the Prince of Wales Museum with its wide collection of art and artefacts. In the afternoon, we continue with a panoramic drive through South Mumbai, passing key colonial era landmarks including Victoria Terminus railway station, the Bombay High Court and Flora Fountain. Overnight in Mumbai.
Day 3 - Dharavi & Fly to Kochi
After breakfast we visit Dharavi, one of Asia’s largest slums, walking its narrow lanes to observe daily life and local enterprises – including leather tanning, pottery and recycling. Later we transfer to the airport for our flight to Kochi. On arrival we take you to your hotel for check in, and you can spend the evening at leisure. Overnight in Kochi.
Day 4 - Alleppey Backwaters Cruise
After breakfast in Kochi, we drive 60 km to Alleppey – often called the Venice of the East – and board our houseboat. Lunch is served on board as we begin cruising the Kerala backwaters, a network of canals, lagoons and lakes. We take in the scenery and observe daily life along the waterways as we pass small villages, see fishermen at work and watch locals going about their routines. Dinner is served on board later in the day, and we stay overnight on the houseboat.
Day 5 - Return to Kochi & Fly to Delhi
After breakfast, we drive 60 km back to Kochi for a city tour. We visit St. Francis Church – the oldest European church in India – and see the iconic Chinese fishing nets along the waterfront. We continue to Mattancherry Palace, also known as the Dutch Palace, noted for its detailed murals depicting scenes from the Ramayana and the Mahabharata. Later in the evening, we board a flight to Delhi. On arrival, we transfer you to your hotel and you have the evening at leisure. Overnight in Delhi.
Day 6 - Exploring Delhi
After breakfast, we set out on a full day tour of Old and New Delhi. We begin at the Red Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that was the seat of the Mughal emperors, and continue to Jama Masjid, one of India’s largest mosques. We then take a rickshaw through the lanes of Chandni Chowk and visit Khari Baoli, one of Asia’s largest spice markets.
In the afternoon we visit Humayun’s Tomb, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that inspired the Taj Mahal, followed by the Lotus Temple, a Bahá’í House of Worship known for its striking design. We end at Qutub Minar, the world’s tallest brick minaret, before returning to your hotel. Overnight in Delhi.
Day 7 - Delhi to Agra & Taj Mahal
After breakfast we drive 204 km to Agra and check in before starting our sightseeing. We visit the Taj Mahal, the mausoleum built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan for Mumtaz Mahal, then continue to the massive Agra Fort – whose walls stretch for more than two kilometres – and finish at the elegant Baby Taj, the finely detailed tomb often called the Jewel Box. In the evening you can explore Agra’s local markets, known for handicrafts and leather goods. Overnight in Agra.
Day 8 - Fatehpur Sikri, Abhaneri & Jaipur
After breakfast in Agra, we drive to Jaipur, covering around 245 kilometres with visits en route. We stop first at Fatehpur Sikri, a UNESCO World Heritage Site celebrated for its Mughal architecture, to explore Buland Darwaza, Jama Masjid and the Diwan–i–Khas. We then continue to Abhaneri to visit Chand Baori, one of India’s largest and deepest stepwells, noted for its intricate craftsmanship and historic role in water management. On arrival in Jaipur, we check in to the hotel and the evening is at leisure – you can relax, explore the city at your own pace or sample local cuisine at a restaurant of your choice. Overnight at hotel.
Day 9 - Exploring Jaipur
After breakfast, we set out on a full-day tour of Jaipur, beginning at Amber Fort. We continue to the City Palace to explore its museum collection of art and artefacts, then visit the Jantar Mantar observatory and the Hawa Mahal – the Palace of Winds. In the evening, you can explore Jaipur’s colourful bazaars for shopping and visit the Birla Temple, a white marble temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi. Overnight at your hotel in Jaipur.
Day 10 - Return to Delhi
After breakfast, we drive from Jaipur back to Delhi – a journey of 268 km. On arrival, we transfer you to the airport for your departure flight. If time permits before check-in, you can explore a few additional sights in Delhi. This brings your private tour to a close.
