He really made the trip what is was and helped deal with minor issues (hotel rooms etc). itinerary was great- lots of variety and good pace. Our highlights: Ljubljana, Bled and Plitvice, truffle dogs, wine! Ljubljana to Portorose day was very long. A lunch break would have been preferable to the 45 min photo stop at Smartno. Valamar diamante hotel in Porec wasn't suitable for this type of traveller who tend to prefer to be in the centre of the town and support smaller businesses.

The tour itinerary could have been better. The stops did not align well with preferred lunch times - free time for lunch was either too early like 11 am or quite late after 2 pm. Food options (we are vegetarian) around the lunch stops we're quite limited. the hotels were not upto the standard we were given to expect for the Superior tour. While the beds were comfortable and breakfast was sumptuous and the staff very friendly, the rooms were cramped. and most of the hotels did not have an in room coffee maker, did not have a gym. The carpets were stained at most of the hotels. Certainly not quality 4-star accommodation that we were promised.
