Day 1 - Sofia
On arrival at Sofia Airport, we transfer you to your hotel to check in. The rest of the day is at leisure – you can unwind after the journey or start exploring at your own pace. Take a gentle stroll through the lively city centre, drop into characterful cafés and local restaurants, or simply soak up the atmosphere of one of Europe’s oldest capitals. Overnight in Sofia.
Day 2 - Sofia
After breakfast, we focus on Sofia’s ancient layers and living traditions. At 16:00, we join a shared yoghurt tasting at the Serdica Ancient Complex amid the remains of the Roman city. Over 60 minutes, we sample several styles paired with artisanal toppings and local delicacies, hear the story of Lactobacillus bulgaricus and its cultural roots, and sip water and ayran – all guided in an evocative archaeological setting. No transport is included – you will make your own way with full directions provided. In the evening, we embrace a traditional night in Sofia with an authentic dinner, live folklore music and dance, and the mesmerising Nestinari fire dance. A four course menu is served with rakia and local wine as musicians and dancers bring time‑honoured customs to life, inviting guests to join the celebration. The Nestinari ritual is performed weather permitting and is recognised by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage. No transport is included – you will make your own way with full directions provided. Overnight in Sofia.
Day 3 - Sofia
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel, then you have a relaxed morning in Sofia – wander the centre, pick up last minute gifts, or continue exploring at your own pace. At the scheduled time, we transfer you to Sofia Airport for your departure flight.
