Day 1 - Guiyang
Arrive at Guiyang Airport or Railway Station, where a representative will meet you and accompany you on a 90-minute drive to Old Han Village. This village is home to descendants of troops from Nanjing, whose residents still wear traditional Han costumes. We will take a stroll around the village and explore the local art form known as Ground Opera, or ‘theatre on the ground’. You will enjoy a private performance by amateur villagers wearing handmade masks, followed by an opportunity to learn how these masks are crafted (mask-making demonstration is optional and payable locally). Around 16:00, we will transfer you to your hotel in Guiyang for check-in. The remainder of the day is at your leisure—rest after your journey or explore the city’s vibrant night market. Overnight in Guiyang.
Day 2 - Guiyang - Kaili - Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture
After breakfast, we will collect you from the hotel lobby at around 8:30 and set off for Kaili. The journey takes approximately three hours, including a lunch stop at a local restaurant in Taijiang. Upon arrival, we will drive to Fanpai and enjoy a one-hour walk through lush paddy fields to Fangzhao village. Here, you will discover a charming network of traditional wooden houses and witness an authentic, unspoiled farming system. Later, we continue to Kaili, the capital of the Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture, where you will check into your hotel in the late afternoon. The remainder of the day is yours to explore this cultural hub at your leisure.
Day 3 - Kaili - Guiyang
