Itinerary
Day 1 - Marrakech
Arrive into Marrakech Airport and transfer to your riad. After check-in, the remainder of the day is free for you to settle in and begin to experience the atmosphere of this vibrant city, known for its historic medina, colourful souks and lively street life.
Day 2 - Marrakech Sightseeing & Leisure Time
In the morning, take a half-day city tour of Marrakech, focusing on the old medina. You explore the souks, with their colourful displays of spices, textiles and handicrafts, and visit historic palaces and a madrassa that reflect the city’s importance as an imperial capital and centre of learning.
The afternoon is free for you to spend as you wish. You may choose to explore the modern streets of Gueliz, known for its cafés and shops, or enjoy a more relaxing experience with a visit to a local hammam or by joining a cookery course to learn about Moroccan cuisine.
Day 3 - High Atlas Day Trip
Marrakech - Atlas Mountains - Toubkal National Park - Ouirgane - Marrakech. The route takes you into the High Atlas Mountains, travelling across the fertile Plain of Haouz before climbing the limestone escarpment near Lake Takerkoust, with expanding views back towards the plains. Continue to the Plateau du Kik, a high open plateau dotted with small villages where Berber farmers continue traditional agricultural life against a dramatic mountain backdrop.
The journey continues into Toubkal National Park and the Valley of Ourigane, an area of terraced fields, walnut and oak trees, and quiet rural settlements. Here, you have tea with a local family, offering an insight into daily life in the mountains, followed by a walk through the surrounding oak forests. There is time to relax in a traditional ksar before returning to Marrakech via the village of Asni, enjoying further mountain scenery along the way.
Day 4 - Marrakech
Your tour comes to an end after breakfast and hotel check-out. An included transfer takes you to the airport.
