Itinerary
Day 1 - Welcome to Christchurch

Once you have arrived at Christchurch Airport, you are met for your private car transfer to your accommodation in the city, where you settle in for the next three nights.
With the rest of the day free, you might like to take a walk around the surrounding streets or find a nearby cafe for dinner.
Day 2 - Uncover Christchurch Independently

Today is spent exploring Christchurch independently, using an all-day pass that covers three ways to see the city. Hop on and off the heritage tram as it loops through 17 stops around the city centre, including the Botanic Gardens, Riverside Market and New Regent Street, with live commentary along the way. You can join the tram at any stop, with the main loop starting from Cathedral Junction.
A punting ride along the Avon River offers a different view of the city from the water, departing from the Antigua Boat Sheds. From here, you make your way up to the Port Hills by gondola - a 15-minute drive from the city centre, or around 25 minutes on the public bus - for panoramic views over Christchurch, Lyttelton and the surrounding coastline. Allow two to three hours here, with walking tracks, a discovery ride, a cafe and a gift shop at the top.
Bring something warm to wear, as it can be cool up on the hills.
Please note: Your punting timeslot must be booked in advance directly with the activity provider; rides are shared unless a private punt is arranged at an additional cost.
Please note: Valid for guests aged 15 and over.
Day 3 - Explore Lyttelton & Akaroa

From Christchurch, you make your way to Lyttelton Port to join your private return shuttle to Akaroa. Your driver, based locally, offers commentary and stops at points of interest for photos along the way, including the drive up over Gebbes Pass.
Once in Akaroa, you have the choice of a two-and-a-half-hour guided sea kayak or e-bike tour, taking in this volcanic harbour town's coastline with a knowledgeable guide leading the way. Afterwards, there is time to browse the shops or relax in one of the town's cafes before the shuttle returns you to Lyttelton to complete the day.
Please note: This activity is suitable for those aged 10 and over.
Day 4 - Goodbye Christchurch
Your stay in Christchurch comes to an end today, with no further activities included from this point.
