Itinerary
Day 1 - Windhoek - Etosha National Park
We head north from Windhoek to Etosha National Park – leaving the city behind for Namibia’s wild interior. We settle into our lodge or campsite near the park and prepare for our first safari.
Day 2 - Etosha National Park - Divundu
We depart the shimmering salt pans of Etosha – travelling north east towards the Kavango River – and arrive in the Divundu area for a night on the riverbank.
Day 3 - Divundu
We take a leisurely boat cruise on the Kavango River – gliding past reeds and forested banks as we watch for colourful birdlife, hippos and crocodiles – and soak up the river’s tranquil, ever changing scenery.
Day 4 - Maun
We cross into Botswana and drive to Maun, gateway to the Okavango Delta. On arrival we settle into our lodge or campsite in this bustling safari town, and the remainder of the day is free – you can unwind after the journey and prepare for two nights in the delta, make the most of the lodge facilities, or take a gentle wander to get a feel for this lively hub.
Day 5 - Maun - Khwai Conservation Area - Okavango Delta
We leave Maun in smaller safari vehicles for the Khwai Conservation Area on the edge of the Okavango Delta. We travel through varied bush to this region rich in wildlife, then glide along quiet channels of the delta in a traditional mokoro – experiencing the waters at eye level as frogs chorus, birds call and reeds softly rustle.
Day 6 - Moremi Game Reserve
We spend a full day on a 4x4 game drive in the Moremi area – crossing wetlands, open grasslands and shady woodland as we search for elephants, big cats and a wealth of other wildlife.
Day 7 - Khwai - Nata
At first light we depart Khwai in open safari vehicles, reconnect with our truck and continue towards Nata. It is a long travel day through central Botswana – with sweeping views of open bush and broad plains – and if conditions allow we pause at a seasonal viewpoint over the nearby salt pans to take in vast horizons and, when water levels are right, watch for flamingos and other waterbirds.
Day 8 - Nata - Kasane
We travel north from Nata to Kasane on the Chobe River and settle into our camp or lodge near Chobe National Park. In the afternoon we take a relaxed boat cruise on the river to watch elephants, hippos and other wildlife gathering at the water’s edge – rounding off the day with mellow game viewing and a beautiful sunset.
Day 9 - Kasane
We cross the border from Botswana into Zimbabwe and drive to Victoria Falls, then check in to our accommodation close to the waterfall. After settling in, the evening is free – you can relax by the pool, browse the local shops or plan optional activities for the days ahead.
Day 10 - Victoria Falls
After checking in to your lodge in Victoria Falls town, the evening is yours – unwind by the pool, browse local shops or start arranging optional activities for the days ahead.
