Day 1 - Zagreb - Zadar
Arrive at Zagreb Airport, where our local representative will welcome you and assist with your car hire, providing guidance for your departure day. Zagreb, Croatia’s capital, boasts a rich history spanning over 900 years. Explore the charming Gornji Grad (Upper Town) and the vibrant Donji Grad (Lower Town), taking in the city’s distinctive squares, parks and architecture. To deepen your understanding, we offer an optional two-hour guided city tour. Wine enthusiasts may also wish to join an optional tasting experience, featuring Croatian wines paired with local meats and cheeses, led by a sommelier. After your time in Zagreb, we travel to Plitvice Lakes National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its cascading waterfalls and a series of 16 stunning lakes set amid forested mountains. An optional guided tour is available to enhance your visit. From there, we continue to Zadar, an ancient Dalmatian coastal city full of life. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and, time permitting, explore the famous Sea Organ and Greeting to the Sun installations—unique architectural attractions by the sea. Overnight accommodation is in Zadar on a bed-and-breakfast basis.
Day 2 - Zadar - Sibenik - Trogir
After breakfast at the hotel, explore Zadar’s old town, situated on a narrow peninsula with gleaming white stone streets and protective walls dating back to Roman and early medieval times. You may wish to book an optional two-hour guided tour to gain deeper insight into the city’s rich history and unique atmosphere. Afterwards, continue to Šibenik, a charming town perched above a picturesque bay at the mouth of the River Krka. We recommend visiting St. James’s Cathedral, Croatia’s most significant Renaissance monument. The journey then proceeds to Trogir, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Central Europe’s best-preserved Romanesque-Gothic towns. Discover its waterfront setting, historic palaces, churches, ancient walls and imposing castle. Overnight accommodation is in Trogir on a bed-and-breakfast basis.
Day 3 - Split - Omis - Dubrovnik
After breakfast, we continue to Split, a remarkable city with a 1,700-year history. This coastal Dalmatian town is set against a stunning mountain backdrop and crystal-clear waters, boasting some of the finest Roman ruins in the world. Explore numerous archaeological, historical and cultural landmarks, including the renowned Diocletian’s Palace. You may choose to enhance your visit with optional experiences such as a private two-hour guided tour or a wine and olive oil tasting session. From Split, we travel onwards to Dubrovnik, with recommended stops at the charming seaside towns of Omis, Makarska, Ploce and Neum in Bosnia-Herzegovina. Overnight accommodation is in Dubrovnik on a bed-and-breakfast basis.
Day 4 - Dubrovnik
After breakfast, explore Dubrovnik, a stunning city enclosed by vast cream-coloured stone walls featuring four gates, three forts, five bastions and 14 square towers. Known as the ‘Pearl of the Adriatic’, it boasts an impressive collection of medieval art and architecture. We walk along the city walls, enjoying panoramic views over the Adriatic and the old town’s red-tiled roofs.You may choose from several optional tours to enhance your visit. Join a two-hour guided walk through the cobbled streets to uncover Dubrovnik’s rich history and cultural heritage. Alternatively, experience the three-hour Cilipi Folklore tour, where you’ll be welcomed with traditional grape brandy and figs in the village of Čilipi, explore the local market, and enjoy Dalmatian music and dance.Fans of Game of Thrones can take a special excursion to Fortress Lovrijenac, known as The Red Keep, to see filming locations such as King’s Landing and the House of the Undying. The tour includes a boat trip to the island of Lokrum, where you can learn about its history and recent transformation into the fictional city of Qarth. Keep an eye out for the island’s peacocks as you explore.Overnight in Dubrovnik on a bed-and-breakfast basis.
Day 5 - Dubrovnik
After breakfast, you will return your rental car at Dubrovnik Airport before boarding your flight home.
