Day 2 - Legian - Ubud
After breakfast, we check out and drive to Tanah Lot temple, one of Bali’s most photographed sites. Perched on a large rock surrounded by the sea, it offers a peaceful spot to relax and, weather permitting, a stunning place to watch the sunset. Built in the 16th century by the Javanese priest Danghyang Nirartha, this temple is part of a series of sea temples around the island. Afterwards, we continue to Ubud for check-in at your hotel and an overnight stay.
Day 3 - Ubud - Kintamani - Ubud
After breakfast, we drive to Batubulan village to enjoy the Barong and Kris dance performance, a traditional Balinese theatrical show. Next, we visit the nearby art and craft villages of Celuk, Batuan, Mas and Ubud, where you can observe skilled artisans at work in gold and silver smithing, hand weaving, woodcarving and painting. We then explore the Ubud Monkey Forest, home to a lively troop of long-tailed macaques. Afterwards, we continue to Tampak Siring to visit Tirta Empul, a sacred spring water temple known for its purification rituals. From there, we travel to Kintamani to admire the impressive views of the still-active Mount Batur volcano and Lake Batur, where lunch will be served at a local restaurant. On the return journey, we pass the scenic Tegallalang rice terraces before arriving back in Ubud for the night.
Day 4 - Ubud - Penglipuran - Ubud
After breakfast, we visit Penglipuran village to experience its distinctive traditional rural lifestyle and community culture. Next, we travel to Besakih, known as Bali’s ‘Mother Temple’. This extensive complex comprises 30 temples arranged over seven terraced levels on the mountainside. Lunch is served at a local restaurant. In the late afternoon, we stop at Goa Lawah, the ‘bat cave’ temple, where thousands of bats cling to the cave’s rim. We then return to Ubud for the night.
Day 5 - Ubud
After breakfast, we begin the day at 9 am with a visit to Taman Ayun Temple, a beautifully maintained site dating back to the Royal Mengwi Dynasty. Next, we travel to Bedugul, situated on the shores of Lake Beratan, where you can enjoy the cool mountain air and take in the striking views of Ulun Danu Temple. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. Following this, we stop at a local market offering fresh fruits and vegetables before visiting the expansive Jatiluwih rice terraces, renowned for their traditional irrigation system.
