Itinerary
Day 1 - Bologna
Welcome to Italy! On arrival at the airport, you will be collected and transferred to our hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.
Day 2 - Maranello Ferrari Museum & Acetaia Experience
After breakfast depart for Maranello for a memorable day celebrating two of Italy’s greatest passions: motors and gastronomy. On arrival, enjoy an exclusive private guided tour of the Ferrari Museum. Delve into the history, innovation and enduring allure of the legendary Prancing Horse, admiring some of its most iconic models.
Your journey continues into the heart of Emilia-Romagna’s culinary heritage with a visit to a historic acetaia. Here, you will discover the centuries-old methods behind the production of Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena, followed by a refined tasting. A leisurely countryside lunch showcasing local specialities completes the experience before we return to Bologna in the afternoon.
Day 3 - Parma
At approximately 7.30am meet your driver and depart for Parma. On arrival, meet your local guide and head to an authentic Parmigiano-Reggiano PDO producer. Discover how this world-famous cheese has been crafted in the same way since its creation by Benedictine monks centuries ago, observing the hand-making process, the salt baths and the impressive “cathedrals” of ageing cheese wheels. A tasting is included.
Continue with a guided visit and tasting at a family run production site of Traditional Balsamic Vinegar PDO, followed by a visit to a local family-run ham factory specialising in the renowned Prosciutto di Parma PDO. Learn why this exceptional ham can only be produced in the hills around Parma, where the Marino wind flows from the Ligurian Sea through Italy’s celebrated Food Valley.
Lunch is served at a farm-to-table restaurant and features the region’s finest products, including Parmigiano-Reggiano, Prosciutto di Parma, other local cured meats, a traditional filled pasta dish such as tortelli di Parma, and homemade desserts, paired up with local wines like Lambrusco and Malvasia.
After lunch, stop for photos at the charming medieval village of Torrechiara, dominated by its romantic castle, considered one of the most spectacular in the Duchy of Parma and Piacenza. Dating back to 1448, it was built by Sir Pier Maria Rossi for his beloved Bianca Pellegrini. Then return to Parma for a private two-hour walking tour of the city (entrances to museums or monuments not included). At the end of the tour, transfer back to Bologna.
Day 4 - Bologna
