Day 1 - Florence
Arrive at Florence Airport and meet your driver for a transfer to your hotel. After checking in, enjoy the evening at your leisure to settle in and explore the surroundings. Overnight in Florence.
Day 2 - Florence
After breakfast, meet your guide in the hotel lobby to explore the highlights of Florence on foot. The city’s compact historic centre is ideal for walking, allowing us to visit key sites such as Santa Maria Novella, Santa Croce and the Medici Chapels. Along the way, we will admire masterpieces by Michelangelo and other renowned artists of the Gothic and early Renaissance periods, including famous frescoes that showcase Florence’s rich artistic heritage. The day offers a thorough introduction to the city’s cultural treasures before returning to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 3 - Florence
After breakfast, meet your guide in the hotel lobby to explore more of Florence’s artistic treasures. Begin with a focused visit to the Uffizi Gallery, where you will spend time in the Michelangelo Hall admiring key works, including the renowned Tondo Doni, painted between 1505 and 1507. The tour continues at the Accademia Gallery, home to Michelangelo’s David – a 5.17-metre marble statue created between 1501 and 1504, widely regarded as the pinnacle of Renaissance sculpture. You will return to your hotel in Florence for an overnight stay.
Day 4 - Florence
After breakfast, meet your guide for a walking tour of Florence, including entry to the city’s most important church, Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral (Duomo). With an expert guide, we will explore the cathedral’s treasures—from Paolo Uccello’s fifteenth-century frescoes to the lily-shaped apse and the vast nave. You will also see Vasari’s magnificent Last Judgment painted on Brunelleschi’s dome. Along the way, discover the connection between Michelangelo Buonarroti and the cathedral, which houses several of his masterpieces. Overnight in Florence.
Day 5 - Florence - Rome
After breakfast, check out and meet your driver for a transfer to the train station. Board a high-speed train to Rome, where you will check in to your hotel upon arrival. In the afternoon, join your driver and guide for a walking tour focused on Michelangelo’s work in the city. Begin at the Basilica di Santa Maria degli Angeli e dei Martiri, a church built within the ancient Baths of Diocletian dating back to 300 A.D. Then visit San Pietro in Vincoli to admire Michelangelo’s impressive statue of Moses. The tour also includes stops at Campidoglio Square on Capitoline Hill and Santa Maria Sopra Minerva, home to Michelangelo’s sculpture Christ Carrying the Cross. Overnight in Rome.
Day 6 - Rome
After breakfast, we transfer you by private car to Vatican City. With our expert guide, you will explore the highlights of the Vatican Museums, including their extensive collection of paintings, sculptures and tapestries. We then visit the Sistine Chapel to admire its renowned frescoes. The tour concludes with a guided overview of St. Peter’s Basilica, one of the world’s most impressive churches. You will return to your hotel in Rome for the night.
Day 7 - Rome
After breakfast, meet your driver for a transfer to Rome Airport to catch your return flight.
