Is This Holiday For You?
The maximum altitude attained on this trek is not very high and we spend only one night above 3500m (See Trip Notes for details), however in order to complete the circuit there are long days with a good deal of ascents and descents. During the summer months the daily temperatures can be high and although this can have an effect on trekking performance, we do run this holiday when there is the maximum chance of summitting Toubkal. Generally we follow well-established trails between valleys and villages, whilst during the ascent of Toubkal, and when heading over passes we'll follow zig-zag trails over scree and occasionally, patches of snow. The optional final ascent to Toubkal (4167m) presents no technical difficulty and should be within the capabilities of fit walkers. This is a challenging trekking holiday, you should be comfortable with walking for up to 8 or 9 hours each day and for several days continuously.
