Set out from Cape Town for an easygoing adventure over two days that finishes back in the city – perfect for first timers. You’ll ferry to Robben Island for a moving tour with insight into Mandela’s imprisonment, then glide up Table Mountain by cable car for sweeping views, followed by a colourful Bo Kaap photo stop and a relaxed city spin. Day two traces the Atlantic Seaboard – Maidens Cove, Hout Bay and Chapman’s Peak – before penguin spotting at Boulders Beach and Cape Point – where two oceans meet – plus the Cape of Good Hope. Day 1 - Table Mountain, Chapman's Peak, Cape of Good Hope, Seal Island & Boulders Beach Penguins
At 8 am, you are collected from your hotel for a guided tour of Table Mountain, before continuing on a scenic drive through the coastal neighbourhoods of Mouille Point, Three Anchor Bay, Sea Point, Bantry Bay and Clifton, stopping for photos at Maiden's Cove.
You continue to Hout Bay for a boat trip to Seal Island, before travelling on through Llandudno to Chapman's Peak Drive, where you stop for around 15 minutes at the viewpoint. At the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, you can look out for the Dias Cross, the meeting point of the region's ocean currents, and local wildlife such as baboons and ostriches.
You then visit Boulders Beach to see its colony of African penguins, before returning to your accommodation via Fish Hoek, Kalk Bay and Muizenberg.
Day 2 - Robben Island Prison Museum, Bo-Kaap, Groot Constantia Wine Tasting & Kirstenbosch Gardens
At 8 am, you are collected from your hotel and taken to the Clock Tower Precinct at the V&A Waterfront for a Robben Island boat trip and museum tour, lasting between 3.5 and 4 hours.
After being reunited with your guide at the waterfront, you continue on a guided city tour, taking in the colourful Bo-Kaap neighbourhood and several of the city's well-known monuments.
You then continue to Groot Constantia Wine Estate, one of the oldest wineries in South Africa, for a wine tasting, before concluding the tour with a relaxing walk through Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, set at the foot of Table Mountain. You are dropped off at your hotel at the end of the tour.
