Itinerary

Day 1 - Olympos to Gokkaya Bay

Olympos - Kekova - Simena - Gokkaya Bay. Our relaxing sailing trip starts with a pick up from your hotel in Olympos - please ensure you arrive the day before your cruise starts. Pick up is at 10:00. Alternatively you can meet us at Demre Harbour at 12:00.

Once the group and crew have all gathered at the harbour, we’ll board our traditional Turkish gulet and set sail towards Turtle Beach, where you’ll have the chance to swim alongside and observe five of the eight turtle species native to the Mediterranean in their natural environment. The crystal-clear waters offer incredible visibility of these gentle creatures. Make sure to keep a respectable distance from the turtles, to avoid disturbing them.

In the afternoon, we’ll cruise over the Sunken City of Kekova, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. As we glide above the ancient ruins, you'll be able to catch glimpses of the city lost to an earthquake in the 2nd century AD. From here, we’ll continue to Simena Castle, where you can explore the historic fortress and take in stunning views of the coastline. You will have the opportunity to enjoy homemade ice cream at Simena Castle, a delicious reward after exploring.

After wandering through the quaint fishing village at its base, we’ll head to Pirate Cave and anchor for a tranquil evening at Gokkaya Bay, known for its serene waters and scenic beauty.

Gulet
Gulet cruise

Gulets are traditional, all wooden Turkish sailing boats, with a spacious deck that includes a dining area. They vary in size, anywhere from 2 up to 12 cabins, but our Gulet's are usually 6-8 cabins in size. On-board you'll find comfortable cabins all of which offer an en-suite shower and toilet. All meals during your trip are prepared on the boat and enjoyed in stunning surroundings. All boats are equipped with basic fishing lines as well as flippers and snorkels to use in the turquoise waters of the Mediterranean. The boats will have ample space to relax in or out of the sun as you sail.
