Flying to Vietnam from Australia:
Saigon is roughly a 9 hour direct flight from Sydney with a number of airlines flying indirect to Hanoi. Vietnam Airlines fly the route to Saigon direct and to Hanoi via Saigon, offering the shortest flight time. As most of our Vietnam tours start in Hanoi and end in Saigon you will need what's known as an open jaw flight ticket flyng into one city and out of another, and a number of airlines offer this route.
