Day 1 - Baku Old City & Seafront

This morning, you will make your way to the meeting point and begin exploring Baku, a city that combines historic architecture with modern development.
You start with a walking tour of the Old City, also known as Icherisheher, where you visit landmarks including the House of Baku Khans, the Museum of Ethnography and Archaeology, and the Multani and Bukhara Caravanserais, once used by travelling merchants. You also see the Maiden Tower, one of the city’s most recognisable structures, along with St. Bartholomew Church, Juma Mosque and Muhammad Mosque, reflecting its religious heritage. Your walk continues past Qasim Bey Hammam and the Aliagha Vahid Monument, before visiting the Miniature Book Museum and the Palace of the Shirvanshahs, a former royal complex, along with the Quadrangular Tower.
You then continue to Baku Boulevard, a seafront promenade along the Caspian Sea, followed by the Azerbaijan National Carpet Museum, known for its distinctive carpet-shaped design and traditional collections. Your final stop is Highland Park, offering wide views across the city, the Caspian Sea and the Flame Towers.

Day 2 - Absheron Peninsula & Modern Baku

Baku - Absheron Peninsula - Baku. Today, you will explore the Absheron Peninsula and key sites in Baku, combining natural phenomena, historical landmarks and modern architecture.
You begin with a visit to Ateshgah Fire Temple, a historic place of worship associated with Zoroastrian fire rituals, where you learn about the cultural significance of natural gas flames in the region. You then continue to Yanar Dag, known as the Burning Mountain, where natural gas flames burn continuously along the hillside, creating a unique natural sight.
You then return to the city to visit the Heydar Aliyev Center, a landmark building known for its distinctive flowing design and exhibitions on Azerbaijan’s history and culture. Your final stop is Yashil Bazaar, a traditional market where you can explore a variety of fresh produce, local goods and regional specialities.
Day 3 - Gobustan & Mud Volcanoes

Baku - Gobustan - Baku. You will make your way to the meeting point, where you will depart for the Gobustan region to explore Azerbaijan’s prehistoric heritage and natural landscapes.
You begin at the Gobustan Museum, where you learn about early human life through exhibits and archaeological findings. You then continue to the Gobustan Rock Shelters, an area known for its ancient caves and petroglyphs, where early communities recorded scenes of daily life, hunting and rituals.
You then visit the mud volcanoes, a distinctive natural feature found in high concentration in this semi-desert region. On your return to Baku, you stop at Bibi Heybat Mosque, a historic religious site dating back to the 13th century. After your visit, you continue back to the city centre.
Day 4 - Departure from Baku

After your final breakfast, you might have some time for some last-minute shopping, exploring, or relaxing before you are transferred to the airport for your onward flight. Safe travels!
