Day 1 - Paris
Upon your arrival in Paris, we will be ready to warmly welcome you for the start of your exciting journey. We will organise your transfer directly from the airport to your hotel, ensuring a smooth and comfortable start to your stay. Once settled, you’ll have some free time to explore the vibrant city at your own pace, perhaps taking a leisurely stroll along the Seine or indulging in a classic French pastry at a nearby café. In the afternoon, detailed information regarding the commencement of your tour will be conveniently displayed on the boards in the hotel reception area, providing you with all the guidance you need for the days ahead. Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour. Please also be aware that depending on group composition, guiding may be in additional languages as well as English.
Day 2 - Paris
On the second day, we begin with a panoramic tour of Paris, guided by a local expert who will unfold the city's splendours for you. Following this, we'll transfer to the enchanting district of Montmartre, celebrated for its street artists and charming eateries. Here, you can savour a delightful lunch at your leisure. After lunch, we will return to the hotel, offering those interested the chance to alight at the Louvre for a deeper dive into the city centre. We recommend a visit to this world-famous museum for a glimpse of its renowned art collections. The afternoon is yours to explore as you wish. As evening descends, you have the option to attend a vibrant variety show to cap off your day.
Day 3 - Paris
On the third day of your journey, we provide a transfer to the magnificent Palace of Versailles, renowned for its vast gardens and grand architecture. Although the admission fee is not included, you'll have ample time to explore this iconic site. In the afternoon, you are free to discover the charms of Paris at your leisure. Our guide will be on hand to suggest a scenic boat trip along the Seine or a visit to the lively Latin Quarter.
Day 4 - Paris - Rouen - Arromanches - Caen
On the fourth day of our journey, we set off early from Paris towards the picturesque region of Normandy. Our first stop is Giverny, where we will have the opportunity to explore Monet's House and its stunning gardens – a significant site in the history of Impressionism, which flourished in Normandy. Continuing on, we travel to Rouen, the capital of Normandy, known for its medieval streets and impressive cathedral. Here, we'll enjoy a leisurely walk and have time to dine. The journey then leads us to Arromanches, where we visit the beaches that played a vital role during the World War II landings in France, serving as a poignant reminder of the past. Our day concludes in Caen with some free time to savour the lively atmosphere of its central district. It is worth noting that from November to April, Monet's House is closed, so we will not stop in Giverny during these months.
Day 5 - Caen - Mont-Saint-Michel - Saint-Malo - Dinan - Rennes
In the morning, we set off towards Mont-Saint-Michel, famously known as "The Marvel." Situated on an island it's surrounded by the sea and dominated by a dramatic abbey. You'll have time to wander this unique site and immerse yourself in its rich history and enchanting atmosphere. We then continue our journey into Brittany, stopping at Saint-Malo. With its formidable walls protecting the city, it's a remarkable place to explore and where you’ll have a chance to enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, we head to Dinan, an inviting Breton village renowned for its charm, where we indulge in a delicious crepe and refreshing drink. Our day concludes as we travel to Rennes, Brittany's capital, to explore its captivating historic centre.
Day 6 - Rennes - Angers - Tours - Villandry - Amboise
Today, we set off for Angers, where you'll have the opportunity to visit the castle that boasts the largest medieval tapestry depicting the Apocalypse. Our journey continues to the picturesque Loire Valley, where we arrive in Tours, the region's capital nestled by the Loire River. Here, you'll have some time to explore and enjoy a leisurely lunch. In the afternoon, we head to Ch?teau de Villandry, famous for its exquisite gardens and vibrant flowers. Admission to the gardens is included. Our day concludes in Amboise, known for its enchanting medieval quarter, where we will stay overnight. Dinner is included this evening, providing a perfect end to the day's adventures.
Day 7 - Amboise - Chenonceaux - Chambord - Limoges
Begin your day in the picturesque town of Amboise, starting with a leisurely walk through its charming streets. Amboise famously houses the Ch?teau du Clos Luc?, where Leonardo da Vinci spent his final years?a significant site in the heart of the Loire Valley. Following this, we'll head to the stunning Ch?teau de Chenonceau, an architectural marvel gracefully spanning the river, with your entry already arranged. Our exploration continues at Chambord, the Loire Valley's largest ch?teau, where you can wander through its expansive park. As we move deeper into central France, our next destination is Limoges, internationally acclaimed for its exquisite porcelain. You'll have the opportunity to explore its historical heart, where the magnificent Saint Etienne Cathedral stands as a beacon of the city's rich heritage.
Day 8 - Limoges - Sarlat - Beynac-et-Cazenac - Rocamadour
Leaving Limoges behind, we set off for the Dordogne, a region famed for its historic river and delightful villages nestled amidst stunning scenery. Our first stop will be at Lascaux, where we will explore the museum and an impressive replica of the ancient caves, complete with breathtaking prehistoric paintings. Admission is included to enhance your experience of this remarkable site. Continuing on, we'll visit Sarlat, a town recognised by UNESCO for its remarkably preserved Renaissance centre, giving you time to wander and enjoy a leisurely lunch. En route to Beynac, we'll explore a medieval castle perched above the river, entry included, offering panoramic views over the landscape. Our day concludes in Rocamadour, where you can admire this enchanting medieval village and its renowned sanctuary, dramatically set on a cliff face. We recommend a walk down the Via Crucis and using the lift for your return. Dinner will be provided this evening.
Day 9 - Rocamadour - Padirac Cave - Collonges-la-Rouge - Saint-Emilion - Bordeaux
We will begin our day with a visit to the breathtaking Padirac Chasm, where we will take a boat trip on an underground river, 75 metres beneath the surface. Following this extraordinary experience, our journey takes us to the charming village of Collonges-la-Rouge. Renowned for its unique red stone buildings, the village is situated on the historic Way of St. James, offering a picturesque setting for lunch. In the afternoon, we'll travel to Saint-Emilion, nestled in the heart of Bordeaux's wine region. Here, you can enjoy a leisurely stroll and appreciate the town's enchanting atmosphere. We'll conclude our day by reaching Bordeaux in the evening. Note that Padirac Chasm might be closed from November through March depending on weather conditions.
Day 10 - Bordeaux - Paris
Begin your day in Bordeaux, where the entire city centre has achieved World Heritage status. You'll find yourself enchanted by the renowned ‘Water Mirror’ and can explore the delightful historic old town, characterised by its charming pedestrian streets and the striking 11th-century cathedral. Take some free time to wander along the banks of the Garonne River, home to various inviting restaurants. Alternatively, if you fancy a deeper dive into wine culture, consider visiting the Cité du Vin—a fascinating interactive museum dedicated to the history and production of wine. After lunch, we’ll head to the railway station for your trip back to Paris. You’ll enjoy a swift journey on a modern high-speed train, covering the 500 km distance in just over two hours. Upon arrival in Paris, we’ll transfer you from the station to your hotel.

Following breakfast, our tour concludes, leaving you enriched with cherished memories of your journey.
