Day 1 - Paris
Welcome to Paris. Upon arrival, we’ll transfer you to your hotel, where you’ll have some free time to relax and settle in. In the afternoon, we’ll provide all the essential information about the start of your tour, either in person or through details displayed at the hotel reception.
Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour.
Day 2 - Paris
We begin the day exploring the grandeur of France with a visit to the magnificent Palace of Versailles, renowned for its stunning gardens and opulent architecture (admission not included). On our return to Paris, we’ll visit Montmartre, a vibrant neighbourhood celebrated for its artistic heritage, painters, and cabarets. To capture the full splendour of the city, we’ll take a panoramic tour of Paris with a local guide, showcasing its impressive boulevards and iconic landmarks. After the tour, we return to the hotel. In the evening, there is an option to attend a variety show for those interested.
Day 3 - Paris - Rouen
We begin the day in central Paris with a visit to the iconic Eiffel Tower, where we’ll take you up to the second floor—the tickets are included. Following this, we’ll enjoy a relaxing boat cruise along the River Seine, offering a unique perspective of the city’s landmarks. You’ll have the afternoon free to explore Paris at your own pace. Around 4:00 p.m., we’ll depart Paris and travel to Normandy, arriving in Rouen. Here, you’ll have time to wander the historic centre, known for its medieval architecture and the impressive Gothic Rouen Cathedral, reflecting the city’s rich Roman and medieval heritage. Please note, if wait times at the Eiffel Tower are long, we may reschedule the visit to a later time or the following day for your convenience.
Day 4 - Rouen - English Channel - Canterbury - London
We’ll start the day with a leisurely stroll through the historic centre of Rouen, taking in its medieval streets and notable landmarks. Afterwards, we’ll travel north through France to cross the English Channel by ferry. Upon arrival in England, we’ll reach Canterbury, known for its significant religious heritage and charming old town. Our journey then continues to London, where you’ll have some free time to explore the area around Tower Bridge—one of the city’s most recognised icons—before we head to the hotel for the evening.
Day 5 - London
We begin the day with a panoramic tour of London led by a local guide, offering insight into the city’s rich history and culture. You’ll see iconic landmarks such as the Houses of Parliament, the River Thames, and Buckingham Palace—where the Changing of the Guard may be witnessed, depending on the schedule. In the evening, we’ll meet in Piccadilly for a leisurely stroll through Leicester Square, Chinatown, and Soho—vibrant areas known for their lively atmosphere, theatres, and entertainment. You’ll have plenty of choices for dinner before we return to the hotel.
Day 6 - London - Colchester - Colchester - Volendam Ferry
This morning, we visit the British Museum, one of the world’s oldest and most comprehensive museums, showcasing artefacts from cultures across the globe. After some free time for lunch, we head to Camden, a vibrant district known for its eclectic street market where you can browse unique items and enjoy lunch at one of the many food stalls or small restaurants. At around 4:00 p.m., we travel to Colchester, England’s oldest recorded town, and take a gentle walk through its historic streets. Later, we continue to Harwich to board the ferry for an overnight crossing to the Netherlands, with accommodation in en suite cabins. Please note that due to limited cabin availability, the itinerary may be adjusted, possibly involving a daytime ferry to Amsterdam with an overnight stay in Antwerp or travel by train or flight instead.
Day 7 - Colchester - Volendam Ferry - Volendam - Amsterdam
We arrive in the Netherlands at Hoek van Holland around 8am and visit Volendam, a quaint fishing village known for its traditional charm. Afterwards, we travel to Amsterdam for a guided tour highlighting the city’s key sights – including the iconic windmill and Rembrandt statue, the modern South District, and the historic diamond-cutting quarter at Museum Square. The coach tour concludes in the heart of Amsterdam, where we disembark. You’ll then have free time to explore the city at your own pace.
Day 8 - Amsterdam - Hamelin - Berlin
We leave Amsterdam and travel into Germany, stopping first in Hamelin—a charming town whose streets and shops recall the tale of the Pied Piper by the Brothers Grimm. Continuing our journey, we pass through Marienborn, the former border crossing that once divided East and West Germany until reunification in 1990. We arrive in Berlin in the evening, ready to explore the dynamic capital.
Day 9 - Berlin
Today, we explore Berlin, Germany’s dynamic capital, accompanied by a local guide. From the coach, you’ll see key landmarks including Museum Island, the Television Tower, the city centre’s main shopping streets, the ruined Old Cathedral, the Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag, and the city’s extensive parks. We’ll stop for visits at the Holocaust Memorial and the Berlin Wall Memorial Museum—two poignant sites that mark significant chapters in Germany’s 20th-century history. You’ll have the afternoon free to discover the city at your own pace. In the early evening, we’ll transfer you to the vibrant Kantstrasse district, known for its lively atmosphere and diverse dining options.
Day 10 - Berlin - Dresden - Prague
We’ll travel through forested landscapes to Dresden, a city celebrated for its remarkable architectural and artistic heritage, ranking among Germany’s top cultural destinations. You’ll have time to explore some of its grand palaces and enjoy lunch at one of the city’s many restaurants or cafés. Later, we’ll continue on to Prague in the Czech Republic. Upon arrival, we’ll visit the bustling Old Town Square, a lively hub with a wealth of tourist attractions, perfect for your first introduction to the city. You can choose to dine at one of the numerous nearby restaurants offering a variety of international cuisines before we return to the hotel.
Day 11 - Prague
We begin the day with a panoramic tour of Prague, led by a local guide who will highlight the city’s most remarkable monuments. Included in the tour is a visit to Prague Castle, one of Europe’s largest and most impressive historic complexes. Afterwards, we enjoy a scenic boat ride along the Vltava River, taking in the city’s unique views from the water. In the afternoon, you have free time to explore Prague at your own pace, perhaps wandering through its charming streets or visiting museums and cafés.
Day 12 - Prague - Munich - Innsbruck
We leave early for Bavaria, arriving in Munich around midday. You’ll have free time to explore the historic city centre and enjoy lunch at your leisure. In the afternoon, we continue into Austria and reach Innsbruck, nestled in the heart of the Alps. There will be time to wander through the Old Town and the area around the Golden Roof, followed by dinner before we return to the hotel.
Day 13 - Innsbruck - Zurich
We begin the day with a visit to the Swarovski Museum, renowned for its exquisite crystal creations. We’ll explore the striking gardens and discover the intricate process behind the company’s renowned craftsmanship. Following the museum tour, you’ll have some free time to wander before we travel to Zurich, taking in the scenic Tyrolean landscape along the way. Upon arrival in Zurich, you can spend the evening in the historic lakeside centre, where a wide selection of restaurants offers Indian, Oriental, Italian, international, and Swiss cuisine for dinner.
Day 14 - Zurich - Lucerne - Zurich
We begin the day surrounded by the spectacular alpine scenery of the Interlaken region. Our first stop is Grindelwald, where we pause for a coffee before taking a cable car up the mountain. From there, we follow a winding path to a suspended bridge, which offers impressive views of the glaciers below for those who choose to cross it. Lunch is served on the mountain before we descend. Afterwards, we travel to Lucerne, one of Switzerland’s most picturesque cities, where you’ll have time to explore its charming streets and lakeside setting. We then return to Zurich for the evening. For those interested, the guide will offer an optional full-day excursion featuring a rotating cable car ride to the summit of Mount Titlis—over 3,000 metres high—with breathtaking panoramic views of the glacier and surrounding Alps.
Day 15 - Zurich - Strasbourg - Paris
We’ll leave Zurich and travel to Alsace, arriving in Strasbourg – a city where French and German cultures converge, reflected in its distinctive architecture and atmosphere. You’ll have time to explore the city at your leisure before we continue on to Paris, arriving in the evening.
Day 16 - Paris
Following breakfast, your tour concludes, leaving you with many wonderful memories of your journey.
