Day 1 - Berlin
Welcome to Berlin! Upon arrival, we'll arrange your transfer to the hotel, allowing you some leisure time to relax or explore the vibrant city at your own pace. Later in the afternoon, detailed information about your upcoming tour will be available on the boards located at the hotel reception, ensuring you have all the essential details for the days ahead. Enjoy settling into one of Europe's most dynamic capitals. Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour. Day 2 - Berlin
Today, you’ll dive into the rich culture and history of Berlin, the vibrant capital of Germany, with the guidance of a knowledgeable local. Sit back in comfort as we take you around the city by coach, where you'll spot notable landmarks such as Museum Island, the iconic Television Tower, and the bustling shopping streets of the city centre. You'll pass by the Old Cathedral, a poignant reminder of the destruction caused during World War II, as well as architectural wonders like the Brandenburg Gate and the Reichstag, amidst the city's expansive parks. We’ll make stops at the Holocaust Memorial and the Berlin Wall Memorial Museum, offering a somber reflection on Germany's difficult past. The afternoon is yours to wander the city at your leisure, soaking up its unique atmosphere. As evening approaches, we'll whisk you away to the lively Kantstrasse area, where you can explore the vibrant nightlife.
Day 3 - Berlin - Dresden - Prague
On the third day of our journey, we will travel through lush forests to reach Dresden, a city celebrated for its extraordinary architectural and artistic legacy, making it one of Germany's most appealing destinations. You'll have time to wander around and admire some of its magnificent palaces, and enjoy lunch in one of the city's charming restaurants or cosy coffee shops. Later, we'll set off for the Czech Republic, arriving in Prague. Upon arrival, we will head to the bustling Old Town Square, brimming with energy and activity, providing an ideal introduction to this vibrant city. You may choose to dine at one of the numerous restaurants, offering a variety of international cuisines including authentic Czech dishes, or perhaps indulge in Chinese, Indian, or Italian culinary delights. After an enjoyable evening, we will head back to the hotel.
Day 4 - Prague
Today, we will explore Prague, a city often referred to as the Baroque jewel of Europe. Our day begins with an insightful panoramic tour led by a local guide, showcasing some of the city's most significant landmarks. A highlight of our tour is a visit to Prague Castle, where admission is included, allowing you to delve into the rich history of this iconic site. Following the tour, we’ll embark on an included boat ride along the Vltava River, offering a unique perspective of Prague's stunning architecture. The afternoon is yours to wander at leisure, providing ample opportunity to discover the city's charming streets and vibrant culture at your own pace.
Day 5 - Prague - Munich - Innsbruck
On the fifth day of our journey, we depart early in the morning, heading into Bavaria, Germany. Our first destination is Munich, where you will have free time around midday to explore the historic city centre and perhaps enjoy a leisurely lunch. In the afternoon, we continue our adventure across the border into Austria, reaching the picturesque city of Innsbruck nestled in the heart of the Alps. You will have the opportunity to wander through Innsbruck, the capital of Tyrol, taking in its alpine charm. As evening approaches, savour dinner in the lively area around the Golden Roof and Old Town, soaking up the vibrant atmosphere.
Day 6 - Innsbruck - Salzburg
Today, we'll delve into the art and craftsmanship at the renowned Swarovski Museum, with entry included. You'll explore the captivating gardens and discover the intricate processes behind these stunning crystal creations. Afterwards, take some free time to wander through the charming historic centre of Innsbruck, soaking up the Tyrolean atmosphere. Our adventure will continue as we travel via picturesque mountain roads, leading us to Kitzbühel. This enchanting Tyrolean town is famed for its ski resort, offering snowy adventures nearly all year round and hosting the prestigious Hahnenkamm Race, renowned for its thrilling alpine skiing events. We'll conclude our day by arriving in the beautiful city of Salzburg.
Day 7 - Salzburg - Lake Traunsee - Vienna
Today, we'll delve into the charm of Austria, beginning with an exploration of Salzburg, the city synonymous with Mozart. Its historic Renaissance and Baroque centre is set against the backdrop of a majestic castle, promising a morning of cultural and architectural splendour. As we journey onward through picturesque lakes and mountains, we'll arrive at St. Wolfgang, a significant pilgrimage destination. Our adventure continues to Traunkirchen, situated by the serene Lake Traunsee. Here, you'll enjoy an included cruise, offering a view of four stately castles before we conclude our lake visit in Gmunden. Our day culminates with an evening arrival in Vienna, eagerly anticipating the experiences that await.
Day 8 - Vienna
Today we delve into the charismatic city of Vienna with a guided panoramic tour. We'll take in the splendour of its grand avenues, exquisite palaces, expansive parks, and the bustling city centre. After the tour, you have the afternoon free to discover Vienna at your own pace. In the evening, we'll travel to Grinzing, a quaint area with a rich wine-growing history that's now a vibrant part of the city. Here, you're free to savour a meal at one of its charming traditional taverns.
Day 9 - Vienna
On the final day of our journey in Vienna, we conclude with a hearty breakfast that marks the end of our adventure together.
