Day 1 - Rome
Welcome to Rome. Upon arrival, we will transfer you directly to your hotel. Later, our guide will meet you to provide all the essential information for your stay. You will also find helpful details on the information board in the hotel reception area. In the evening, we will take you to Via Cavour—a lively street perfect for your first taste of Rome. Here, you’ll find a range of restaurants offering Italian, Indian, Chinese and international cuisine to suit every taste.
Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour.
Day 2 - Rome
This morning, we embark on a three-hour guided tour of Rome, combining a walking exploration through Imperial Rome with a panoramic bus ride. Along the way, we will admire some of the city’s most iconic landmarks — including the Arch of Constantine, the exterior of the Colosseum, the Imperial Forums, Circus Maximus, the Baths of Caracalla, the Basilica of Saint Mary Major, the Pyramid of Cestius, and Castel Sant’Angelo. The tour concludes at Vatican City around 11:00 a.m., where you can choose to join an optional visit to the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel. Later in the afternoon, we will transfer you to the vibrant Trastevere district, renowned for its cosy restaurants and lively atmosphere. We will return to the hotel by approximately 8:30 p.m.
Day 3 - Rome - Florence
Today we leave Rome and travel north, enjoying the changing landscapes along the way. Upon arrival in Florence, we head straight to Piazzale Michelangelo, where you can take in panoramic views of the city’s iconic skyline. From there, we walk towards the historic centre and, after some time for lunch, join a guided walking tour led by a local expert. We explore key landmarks such as the Ponte Vecchio, the Duomo, and Piazza della Signoria, discovering why Florence is often described as an open-air museum. Afterwards, you will have free time to explore further at your own pace. In the evening, the area offers a range of restaurants featuring international cuisine, providing plenty of dinner options.
Day 4 - Florence - Venice
Today, we travel from Florence to Venice, crossing the scenic Apennine Mountains en route. Upon arrival, we’ll take a boat across the Giudecca Canal to the heart of Venice. With a local guide, we’ll explore the magnificent St Mark’s Square, a historic centrepiece of the city. Afterwards, we’ll visit the Murano Glass Factory to observe the traditional techniques behind this renowned Venetian craft. You’ll then have some free time to explore Venice independently before we accommodate you in the Mestre district for the night.
Day 5 - Venice - Innsbruck - Salzburg
We leave Venice and travel into Austria, arriving in Innsbruck, the Tyrolean capital. Here, you’ll have time to stroll through the historic centre and enjoy lunch at your leisure. Afterwards, we will continue along scenic mountain roads to Kitzbühel, a charming village famed for its ski resort, where you can explore independently. We will then proceed to Salzburg, reaching the city by late afternoon. Please note, if the group is small, we may take the train from Venice to Innsbruck.
Day 6 - Salzburg - Lake Traunsee - Vienna
This morning, we’ll explore Salzburg, the birthplace of Mozart, where Renaissance and Baroque architecture grace the city beneath its imposing fortress. Afterwards, we’ll travel through scenic lakes and mountains to the pilgrimage town of St. Wolfgang. Continuing to Traunkirchen on the edge of Lake Traunsee, we’ll enjoy a cruise, taking in views of four castles along the lake before disembarking in Gmunden. From there, we’ll journey on to Vienna, arriving in the evening.
Day 7 - Vienna
Today, we’ll take a panoramic tour of Vienna with a local guide, exploring its grand avenues, impressive palaces, expansive parks, and lively city centre. In the afternoon, you’ll have free time to discover the city at your own pace. In the evening, we’ll transfer you to the Grinzing district, once a separate wine village and now part of Vienna, known for its traditional taverns. You’ll have the opportunity to enjoy dinner here before returning to the hotel.
Day 8 - Vienna - Budapest
We’ll travel from Vienna to Budapest, a journey of around three hours. Upon arrival in Hungary’s capital, we’ll stop at the bustling Váci utca, where you’ll have free time to enjoy lunch. Afterwards, we’ll take a scenic boat trip on the Danube River, offering superb views of historic Buda on one bank and vibrant, cosmopolitan Pest on the other. Following the cruise, we’ll begin a panoramic tour of Budapest, known as the "Queen of the Danube." You’ll then have some free time to explore independently. In the evening, an optional excursion is available to experience a traditional Magyar show, including dinner.
Day 9 - Budapest - Bratislava - Prague
We depart Budapest early and travel to Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia. This charming city sits on the banks of the Danube and boasts an attractive historic centre. You’ll have time to explore and enjoy lunch at your leisure. Afterwards, we continue to Prague in the Czech Republic, arriving in the evening. Upon arrival, we’ll transfer you to the Old Town Square, a vibrant hub that provides an excellent introduction to Prague. Here, you can choose from a variety of restaurants serving Czech, Chinese, Indian, Italian, and other international cuisines for dinner. Later, we return to the hotel for overnight accommodation.
Day 10 - Prague
Today, we’ll explore Prague, often called Europe’s Baroque jewel. With a local guide, we’ll take a panoramic tour, visiting the city’s most remarkable landmarks, including Prague Castle, with admission included. Afterwards, we’ll enjoy a scenic boat ride on the Vltava River. You’ll then have the afternoon free to discover the city at your leisure.
Day 11 - Prague - Pilsen - Rothenburg - Frankfurt
We’ll depart early from Prague and head to Pilsen in western Bohemia, a city famous for its beer heritage. Here, we’ll have time to explore the historic centre, including the Old Town Square, the cathedral, the Plague Column, and the Renaissance-era town hall. After this, we cross into Germany and follow part of the Romantic Road to Rothenburg, a picturesque town often described as a fairy-tale village and one of the country’s most beautiful. From Rothenburg, we’ll continue to Frankfurt, Germany’s financial hub, arriving in the evening. You’ll have free time to enjoy the historic city centre, with its wide range of restaurants serving Indian, Asian, Italian, and international cuisine.
Day 12 - Frankfurt
Following breakfast, our tour concludes in Frankfurt. You’ll have time to make your own arrangements for onward travel, taking with you unforgettable memories of your journey.
