Itinerary
Day 1 - Naples - Amalfi
Upon arrival in Naples, you will be met by your driver and transferred to your hotel on the Amalfi Coast. The rest of the day is yours to relax and enjoy the stunning surroundings at your leisure. Overnight on the Amalfi Coast.
Day 2 - Amalfi
After breakfast, meet your driver and guide for a rewarding walk along the summit of Monte Tre Calli. This circular route offers a pleasant mix of paths and tracks, leading to the peak where you’ll be treated to expansive views of the rugged coastline and the endless blue sea. Below, the Agerola Plain and the village of Bomerano stretch out, and on a clear day, you can spot the island of Capri, long a retreat for artists and writers. After taking in the stunning scenery, we descend to Bomerano for a well-earned rest before enjoying a hearty dinner. At the end of the day, we transfer back to the hotel on the Amalfi Coast for your overnight stay.
Day 3 - Amalfi
After breakfast, meet your driver and guide to explore the Valley of the Mills, a pristine wooded area rich with springs and waterfalls nestled among high mountains. This walk begins in the old village of Pontone and takes under an hour to reach the Valle delle Ferriere Nature Reserve, a protected site featuring the impressive Rio Canneto waterfall, which stands over 25 metres tall. Along the route, we will see remnants of 10th-century industry, including an ancient aqueduct, ironworks, and the ruins of several paper mills—testaments to the Republic of Amalfi’s historical wealth and influence. The reserve’s unique subtropical microclimate supports rare plant species such as the carnivorous Pinguicola Hirtiflora and the prehistoric giant fern Woodwardia Radicans, which has thrived here for over 65 million years. After the hike, we return to the hotel on the Amalfi Coast for your overnight stay.
Day 4 - Sorrento
After breakfast, meet your driver and guide to explore the renowned Path of the Gods. This historic 7.8-kilometre trail offers stunning views of the Amalfi Coast and a glimpse into traditional travel routes of the past. The walk takes you through charming old towns along ancient mule tracks, providing some of the most impressive panoramas in Italy while avoiding the busy tourist areas. At the end of the hike, transfer to collect your luggage before continuing to your next hotel in Sorrento. Overnight in Sorrento.
Day 5 - Sorrento
After breakfast, enjoy a leisurely day at your own pace in Sorrento. Take the opportunity to explore the town’s charming streets, relax at a café, or simply soak up the views of the Bay of Naples. Your hotel remains your base for the night.
Day 6 - Sorrento - Capri - Sorrento
After breakfast, meet your driver in the hotel lobby and transfer to Sorrento Pier to catch the ferry to Capri. Upon arrival, a driver will take you to the start of the Path of the Forts, where an expert guide will join you. This coastal trail follows the western shore of Capri, linking four historic forts built between the ninth and fifteenth centuries to guard against pirate attacks. The route begins near the Blue Grotto and passes beneath the Imperial Villa of Damecuta, continuing past Punta dell’Arcera to Fort Orrico on Punta del Miglio. From here, you’ll see the circular Fortino di Mesola, nestled into the rocky promontory of Campietello, overlooking Cala del Rio and Cala del Lupinaro. The path then leads through wooded areas to Fortino di Pino, which overlooks Cala di Tombosiello, before passing Fortino del Cannone. A steady climb brings you to Punta Carena, dominated by its lighthouse and offering stunning views of the coastline, especially at sunset. After completing the trek, transfer back to the pier for the ferry to Sorrento, where your driver will be waiting to take you to the hotel. Overnight in Sorrento.
Day 7 - Sorrento - Naples
After breakfast in Sorrento, meet your driver at the hotel for the transfer to your next accommodation. En route to Naples, we stop at Mount Vesuvius, where you have skip-the-line tickets for an independent visit to this iconic volcano that overlooks the Bay of Naples. Around midday, enjoy a wine-tasting lunch at a traditional winery situated at the foot of Vesuvius. Afterwards, proceed to Pompeii to join your guide for a walking tour of this remarkable archaeological site, preserved under volcanic ash since AD 79. Explore the ancient streets, homes, the Amphitheatre, and the Forum, gaining insight into life during the Roman era. In the afternoon, continue to Naples for your overnight stay and some well-earned rest.
Day 8 - Naples
After breakfast in Naples, enjoy a free day to explore the city at your own pace. Take the opportunity to visit its historic centre, sample local cuisine, or discover its vibrant streets before meeting your driver for your onward departure.
