Day 1 - Rome
Welcome to Rome. Upon your arrival, we will transfer you directly to your hotel. Later, our guide will meet you to provide all the essential information about your stay. Additional details can also be found on the information board in the hotel reception. In the evening, we will take you to Via Cavour—a vibrant street offering a variety of dining options from Italian to Indian, Chinese, and international cuisines—providing a great introduction to the city’s atmosphere.
Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour.
Day 2 - Rome
We begin the day with a three-hour guided tour of Rome, exploring Imperial Rome on foot before continuing by coach to take in the city’s renowned landmarks. Highlights include the Arch of Constantine, the exterior of the Colosseum and Imperial Forums, Circus Maximus, Baths of Caracalla, Basilica of Saint Mary Major, Pyramid of Cestius, and Castel Sant’Angelo. The morning tour concludes at Vatican City by around 11:00 a.m., where you have the option to join a visit to the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel. Later, we transfer you to the vibrant Trastevere district, known for its welcoming restaurants and lively atmosphere. You have free time here for dinner before returning to the hotel at approximately 8:30 p.m.
Day 3 - Rome - Florence
Today we leave Rome and travel north through picturesque landscapes en route to Florence. Upon arrival, we head straight to Piazzale Michelangelo, where we take in panoramic views over the city. From there, we walk to the historic centre for some free time to have lunch. Afterwards, we enjoy a guided walking tour with a local expert, visiting key landmarks including the Ponte Vecchio, the Duomo, and Piazza della Signoria. Florence is often described as an open-air museum, rich in Renaissance art and architecture. You will then have some free time to explore further at your own pace. In the evening, the area offers a wide range of dining options featuring various international cuisines.
Day 4 - Florence - Venice
Today, we travel through the stunning Apennine mountain range on our way to Venice. Upon arrival, we board a boat to cross the Giudecca Canal and reach the heart of the city. With a local guide, we explore the magnificent St Mark’s Square, a central landmark renowned for its architecture and history. Afterwards, we visit a Murano Glass Factory to witness the traditional glassmaking techniques that have been perfected over centuries. You’ll then have some free time to discover Venice at your own pace. Accommodation for the night is in the Mestre district.
Day 5 - Venice - Innsbruck - Zurich
We leave Venice this morning and travel north into Austria. On arrival in Innsbruck, you’ll have time to explore the historic town centre and enjoy lunch at your leisure. Afterwards, we continue through the scenic Tyrolean landscape, crossing into Switzerland before arriving in Zurich for the evening.
Day 6 - Zurich - Lucerne - Zurich
Today’s journey takes us through some of Switzerland’s most impressive landscapes — towering mountains and crystal-clear lakes. We’ll begin in the Interlaken region, stopping first in Grindelwald for a coffee break before taking a cable car up the mountain. From there, we’ll follow a winding path to a suspended bridge. Those feeling adventurous can cross the bridge for spectacular views of surrounding glaciers. Lunch is included on the mountain before we descend. Our afternoon is spent in Lucerne, one of Switzerland’s most picturesque cities, where you’ll have time to explore its charming streets and waterfront. We’ll then return to Zurich. Alternatively, there is an optional full-day excursion available: after some free time in Lucerne, we’ll take a rotating cable car to the summit of Mount Titlis, sitting over 3,000 metres above sea level, offering breathtaking views of the glacier and Alps.
Day 7 - Zurich - Strasbourg - Paris
We depart from Zurich and journey to the Alsace region of France, stopping in Strasbourg, the region’s charming capital. This city reflects a unique blend of French and German influences, visible in its architecture and culture. You’ll have time to explore Strasbourg at your own pace before we continue to Paris, where we will arrive in the evening.
Day 8 - Paris
We begin the day with a visit to the magnificent Palace of Versailles, famed for its grand architecture and expansive gardens (admission not included). After returning to Paris, we explore Montmartre, a historic bohemian district known for its artistic heritage and lively cabaret scene. To capture the full splendour of the city, we then take a panoramic tour with a local guide, viewing Paris’s impressive avenues and iconic landmarks. The day concludes with a return to the hotel, and in the evening, there is an optional variety show for those wishing to experience Parisian entertainment.
Day 9 - Paris - Rouen
We begin the day in central Paris with a visit to the iconic Eiffel Tower, where we’ll include tickets to ascend to the second floor of this renowned landmark. Following this, we’ll take a relaxing boat cruise along the Seine, providing a different perspective of the city's many sights. The afternoon is free for you to explore Paris at your leisure. Around 4:00 p.m., we’ll depart for Normandy, arriving in Rouen. Here, you’ll have free time to discover the historic centre, known for its medieval architecture and impressive Gothic cathedral, reflecting the city’s rich heritage dating back to Roman times. Please note, if wait times at the Eiffel Tower are long, we may adjust the visit to a different time or day for your convenience.
Day 10 - Rouen - English Channel - Canterbury - London
We begin the day with a leisurely stroll through the historic centre of Rouen, taking in its medieval architecture and vibrant atmosphere. Afterwards, we travel north through France to the coast, where we board a ferry to cross the English Channel. Upon arrival in Canterbury, known as England’s religious capital, we explore its charming historic centre. Our journey continues to London, where you’ll have some free time around Tower Bridge—one of the city’s most iconic landmarks—before we make our way to the hotel for the night.
Day 11 - London
We’ll explore London on a panoramic tour with a local guide, discovering key landmarks such as the Houses of Parliament, the River Thames, and Buckingham Palace, where, depending on the schedule, you may see the Changing of the Guard. In the evening, we’ll meet in Piccadilly for a guided walk through Leicester Square, Chinatown, and Soho—areas known for their vibrant nightlife, theatres, and diverse dining options. You’ll have plenty of choices for dinner before we return to the hotel.
Day 12 - London - Colchester - Colchester - Volendam Ferry
In the morning, we visit the British Museum, one of the world’s oldest museums, where we explore artefacts representing cultures from around the globe. Following some free time for lunch, we head to Camden, a district famed for its vibrant and eclectic street market. You can browse the unique stalls and enjoy lunch at one of the many small restaurants or food stands. Around 4:00 p.m., we travel to Colchester, England’s oldest recorded town, for a leisurely walk through its historic streets. Later, we continue to Harwich to board the ferry for an overnight crossing to the Netherlands, with en suite cabins provided. Please note, due to limited cabin availability, the itinerary may be adjusted to include a daytime ferry with an overnight stay in Antwerp, or alternative travel by train or flight to Amsterdam.
Day 13 - Colchester - Volendam Ferry - Volendam - Amsterdam
We arrive in the Netherlands at Hoek van Holland around 8 a.m. and continue to the charming fishing village of Volendam, known for its traditional harbour and quaint streets. Afterwards, we travel to Amsterdam for a guided city tour. We’ll visit notable landmarks including a classic Dutch windmill, the Rembrandt statue, and the modern architecture of the South District. Our tour also highlights the centuries-old tradition of diamond cutting at Museum Square. The coach tour concludes in the heart of Amsterdam, where you’ll have free time to explore at your own pace.
Day 14 - Amsterdam - Hamelin - Berlin
We leave Amsterdam this morning and travel into Germany, stopping first in Hamelin. This charming town is famed for its association with the Brothers Grimm fairy tale of the Pied Piper, with its quaint streets and shops reflecting that storybook atmosphere. Continuing onward, we pass through Marienborn—the site of the former border crossing that divided East and West Germany until reunification in 1990. We arrive in Berlin in the evening, ready for the next stage of your journey.
Day 15 - Berlin
Today we explore Berlin, Germany’s vibrant capital, with a local guide. From the coach, you’ll see key sights including Museum Island, the Television Tower, the main shopping streets in the city centre, the Old Cathedral damaged during World War II, the Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag, and the city’s expansive parks. We’ll pause to visit the Holocaust Memorial and the Berlin Wall Memorial Museum — two poignant landmarks reflecting Germany’s complex 20th-century history. The afternoon is yours to discover Berlin at leisure. Early evening, we’ll transfer you to the lively Kantstrasse area, known for its diverse dining and nightlife options.
Day 16 - Berlin
After breakfast, our tour concludes in Berlin. We’ll assist with your departure arrangements, leaving you with lasting memories of your journey.
